   I recently booked a night to stay in Happy Guest Lodge and I was really happy with the results. When I first arrived at reception I was welcomed by Was. He was very helpful and he should be promoted. Very polite which makes me coming again and again The hotel is very clean and tidy. I strongly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

   DO NOT BOOK! I had a booking at this accommodation 'Happy Guests Lodge' for 11months, I had paid in full for my 3 night stay. 3 days before they email and said my room had been cancelled. When I called to find out what happened the man I spoke to was extremely rude and tried to blame booking.com. They're re advertised my room at 3 times the amount I had paid and said if I still wanted to pay I could pay the new price! Absolutely shocking. I will be taking this further as I know under the UK customer Law this is not allowed to happy! Just wanted to warn anyone looking at staying here! Dont bother!

   Stay there on Thursday seventh of August woke up on the Friday to find they use my booking.com confirmation and pin to write their own review. From viewing online reviews they had done this on multiple times as for the accommodation unfortunately for me it was the only thing available. Nothing really good to say about the place.

   I stayed at this hotel on the 15th of July and had a objectively disgusting experience regarding urine on my bed. Other issues included a mouldy shower curtain and a toilet that was coming out of the ground, however, these pale in comparison to the disgusting reality of literally sleeping in somebody's (seemingly fresh) urine. We first complained of a smell of urine in the room when we arrived. We were not moved and simply given a bottle of air freshener. The smell got worse throughout the night and in the morning we discovered that the smell was emanating directly from under my mattress and that my bed was covered in urine (Photos attached). When I went to alert a member of staff about this and air my complaints, no one was at the desk and no one responded to the door bell. I am not someone to complain nor ever leave poor reviews however I think it is disgraceful to sell someone a room for a night with a bed that is literally covered in urine. Recalling this honestly makes me feel ill. Further, it is especially disturbing that the member of staff I complained to initially conceded that they knew the room had a foul odour and yet still gave us the room. Realistically, something like this would be grounds for a hotel to be shut down, at least temporaily. I have genuinely never experienced anything close to this disgusting at a hotel in my life and I have stayed at some shockers. Please, I beg anyone considering staying here, don't! You are better off in your car.

   Absolutely horrific. Do not stay. Dont have enough words to say how bad. Stuffed rag behind toilet to soak up leak, false food hygiene score, bath held together with black duct tape. I think the receptionist stole my booking.com pin. Maybe that's how they get false reviews. Needs to be shut down. I will be letting the council know they are showing the wrong food hygiene level on the door. Oh the door which us smashed by the way

   We only stayed for one night and it was ok for that. Would we go back? Probably not. Room was dated and not the cleanest. Staff on front counter were great and worked very hard. Don't expect to have a big breakfast. For the money it was ok.

   Nice place. Excellent breakfast. Good dining area. Good parking. Next to petrol station. Good service. Bed very very good. It's a lodge and was ok. Good place for the night and close to several places to visit. Reasonable prices.

   Conrad was exceptionally welcoming, and nothing was to much trouble. room was very modern and the bed was one of the best I've ever slept in. very quiet, the breakfast was lovley with some fantastic filtered coffee and ice cold fresh juice and the price wasn't bad either. Will definitely stay again.

   For the price being charged over the Easter Bank holiday there really can't be any complaints. Room was clean and presentable and tea and coffee making facilities were also present, along with clean towels. A fridge was also in the room, presumably for guests convenience should they need to store anything chilled. I only stayed for the one night and had limited interaction with staff, but they seemed polite and friendly and a friend that stayed for longer claimed they were great for the entirety of their 4 day stay. They also said that the included breakfast was sufficient without being insufficient, something I didn't try myself due to lack of time. It's not a 5 star hotel, and you're not paying for a 5 star hotel. What you're paying for here is a clean and comfortable nights sleep for not a lot of money, and on that front they deliver !
