If your thinking of using this firm of solicitors for conveyancing, think carefully. I don't feel they had my best interest at heart. They tried to impose procedures which would have come at an unnecessary cost. I was told it could take anything up to 12 months to sort out, I did most of the work for them in just 2 months.

While I was not in a chain and renting at the time with the property I was buying being vacant, Gill in the Conveyancing department got the whole process done in just under 7 weeks. Of course, there are many variables and a lot depends on the "other side's"' Solicitor, we Gill was all done and dusted at her end with no hold-ups. I think we only spoke twice during the whole transaction and no need to keep ringing for updates. Would thoroughly recommend.
My solicitor at Jones & Co (who’s services I paid for) has been actively ignoring me since August. I rang, left voicemails, sent numerous emails asking for advice and was point blank ignored every single time and was told that the solicitor in question was in court or in meetings and I would receive a call back (this never happened). I then received a rude email 31st March explaining that I’ve “misunderstood” and I need to instruct my solicitor & then pay for action(s) (obviously). I was trying since August to instruct my solicitor?! Considering that I’ve paid quickly and efficiently in the past I have absolutely no idea why you’d assume that moving forwards I wouldn’t be prepared to pay for services. Rude, unprofessional, unresponsive, if you want a solicitor who answers your calls and replies to you DON’T use Jones & Co!
