I really enjoyed my time renting through Tick. Everything was super straightforward and stress-free, and any issues were sorted quickly. Be careful when you rent a house from this agency. They cut off 200£ of my deposit. They cited the cleanliness and the presence of some mold in the house as an excuse. However, I cleaned the house before moving out (as you can see in the photos), and I stayed for only 5 months. The molds were already existing when I rented it, but they didn't accept. I have photos of when I moved into the house, but when you zoom in, you can't see well. You can understand how small a thing we are talking about. The property manager was so rude when she contacted me. I hope you will not work with her. I was even willing to accept deductions under £100, but £200 was too much and unfair for a house that I delivered clean and early. I will file a complaint about the cutting off, but I'm unsure if it's worth pursuing, as it won't be easy.

Enjoyed a pleasant year in a property managed by Tick, but this soon came to an end when my deposit return was due. My housemate and I received charges of £240 initially with very inflated prices for things that did not require doing / could be done for much cheaper; £60 to clean already spotless wardrobes, £45 for new shower sealant etc. We knew a few things needed doing and so reluctantly accepted the charges even though we felt the minor changes that needed doing could’ve been accomplished for a fraction of the price. I was told the remainder of the deposit would be returned to me, and a week passed and I heard nothing and saw no return, so I emailed to check where the money was. I was then passed from Kelseigh to Chelsea who informed me that Tick had decided to charge a further £60 of comical charges which were as follows: - £15 for new shower door seal (which was already present on the original £240 of charges, so they tried taking £15 hoping we wouldn’t notice) - £15 for the removal of a sticky hook inside a wardrobe (which we did not place and could just be peeled off to remove) - £30 to fill holes in walls (this was the best joke they had, as they took down pictures they owned and had been up through out entire tenancy and photographed the holes where they’d hammered nails in the wall in the past) I disputed the charges and they removed the first 2 additional ones, it was especially frustrating as I had to go out my way to email them to check if there was a problem as I was not informed of these additional joke charges and this was something they decided to do without informing either me or my housemate. After accepting £270 of charges I waited 4 days for the deposit to be returned. It was again, not returned. I received another email saying they needed my bank details AGAIN and my housemates confirmation AGAIN after we had already provided this to the agency 2 weeks prior. Additionally the agency also tried to charge me £30 for “admin fees for paying the incorrect amount” for my car parking space I rented from them, I never paid incorrectly and had to send them screenshots of my bank transfers to clear my name, so they will look for any opportunity to take money from you. This is a massive shame as I recommended them strongly to prospective tenants who viewed the property we were renting, prior to the issues with deposit return and random £30 admin charge they attempted to make me pay. Update: After hearing about the negative experience I had, the manager (Sarah) got in contact with me and we had a chat over the phone. She was very pleasant and apologised for the things that went wrong and offered to pay me the £30 back that I was charged for the holes in the walls I didn’t make. I appreciated this gesture and hopefully in the future some of the team at tick can learn from the problems I experienced, so they are not repeated with future customers.
