“Trustplus” is a good name for it. It’s nhs service, where you can pick your doctor (who was excellent). The theatre team also seemed great. I was only in as a daycase and on the ward the caring was done by healthcare assistants, including taking out a cannula. The HCAs were lovely but I struggled to communicate with them because they barely spoke good enough English. I barely saw a nurse. It was all very disorganised and tatty, long waits for everything, having to bug the staff for basic things. To top off the experience it’s a very long walk back to the car when you’re feeling dizzy and dazed from surgery, not that anyone asked if I was fit to do the walk!

This place is an absolute disgrace. I paid £5,300 for a one-night stay, expecting a private hospital experience, but instead, I was met with NHS-level facilities and NHS staff—hardly what I signed up for. The entire operation is chaotic and disorganised, riddled with mistakes at every turn. It felt like Basil Fawlty had decided to open a private hospital—complete incompetence from start to finish. After my operation, I had to wait 45 minutes in a chair on a freezing cold train just to be taken back up to the ward—absolutely unacceptable for a private facility charging these rates. Then, when I was sent for an X-ray, I was dumped in the NHS hospital’s X-ray department, where there was a three-hour wait—so much for private care! The lifts didn’t work, adding to the frustration, and while the medical team may have been good, I have no way of knowing, as I was under anaesthesia for most of my time there. The real issue, however, is that I was diverted to this place at the last minute after my original booking at Clementine was cancelled, and I was assured this was an equivalent alternative. In reality, it was a classic bait-and-switch—had I seen it in advance, I would have never agreed to the move. To top it off, there was a huge discrepancy in pricing. The amount I was charged was 30% higher than what was listed on the website. When I requested an invoice to explain the difference, they refused to provide one and simply stated that I had been quoted a price, and that was that. This place is an overpriced scam masquerading as a private hospital. Avoid at all costs..

Seems you can trust them mainly not to answer their phone. Tried 20 times both numbers over 2 days for 2 days, but it's either either engaged answers & they say you can't leave a message. If I were a doctor paying for this service I would ask for my money back.

Just returned from Sainsbury Ward having spent 2 full days and one night there, the procedure itself was a great success and I have no issue with my consultant and his team. As for the Ward I have never seen such poor communication, ownership, leadership and lack of patient care. I do not propose to highlight every issue here but the major issues which I have to share with you are as follows. 1. I called for assistance using the call button and pushed this at least 10times over a 5 minute period before a nurse arrived. 2. This happened on 2 out of 3 occasions when I called for assistance. 3. After check in and completing paperwork I didn’t see anyone for over 2 hours. Complete silence until someone came into the room asking for my mobile number. Again. 4. Kitchen staff - I appreciate may not be your responsibility but they were awful. From asking me to order from the main menu while laying on a trolley by the lift on my way to theatre. I was on a liquid only diet after my operation for several days. 5. The waiting times were very long whenever I wanted something done, there was almost a that’s not my job attitude and I would wait again for the right person to arrive. 6. I made a verbal complaint and asked to see the senior person on the ward, this person arrived at my room as I was leaving and I made clear my dissatisfaction but wanted to just to get out of the hospital. I will be contacting you formally with my issues / concerns for a full investigation to be conducted. You must improve your patient care. I am paying a lot of money to go private and expect far better.
