After injuring my left index finger, I was unsure if I’d ever regain full mobility. Thanks to hand therapist Sumaira, not only have I recovered strength and flexibility, I’ve rediscovered confidence in my hand’s ability to support me in daily life. Her approach blends manual therapy, targeted exercises, and encouragement that kept me motivated throughout. I’m very grateful for her care and would recommend her to anyone recovering from a hand injury.
From the moment I arrived at Hendon Hospital for my foot procedure until I was discharged, the service was truly outstanding. Every member of staff I encountered was kind and professional, but the nurses in particular stood out — they were warm, informative, and genuinely caring. When my bandage became loose a week later, I was invited to return to the hospital, and they attended to it immediately. I felt completely cared for at every stage. An all-round first-class experience . I’ve rated four stars instead of five as I felt the admin side could have been more efficient — I had to chase paperwork and was given incorrect information twice. A little more attention to detail at that stage would have made the experience perfect.

My surgery took place in August 2022. I have been told that my post-operation appointment will take place 6 weeks after surgery. My appointment was rescheduled so many times and in January 2023 I finally went for my check only to find out that the surgeon is not in today and they didn't inform me about it. I informed the staff that I feel very anxious about not being able to get an appointment for so long after surgery. I was promised that someone will contact me by phone to schedule an appointment and this didn't happen as well, instead, I received the letter that my appointment is scheduled for March. I finally manage to get my leg checked just a few days ago. So please be aware that I was not able to get post operation check appointment for 7 months after the surgery which is extremely dangerous!
My elderly mother and I arrived at 7:20am for a simple eye procedure. We were reassured that it was not complex and usually takes 20/30 minutes. My mother, who had not eaten or consumed any fluids since 18:00 the previous day was booked in. With anxious anticipation, she put on her gown, then her hospital issue socks and that was how she remained for 4 hours. Anxiously anticipating a simple procedure that takes 20/30 minutes to complete for 4 hours with no food or water for over 12hrs. Please address the coordination issues between your departments. Credit to your staff as they deal with worried and frustrated patients on a daily basis. They are holding this broken system together.
I came to Themis the physiotherapist in the summer suffering from Beverly bad episodes of lower back pain. I did a ct scan, MRI’s, multiple osteopathy and acupuncture but nothing was helping. I saw lots of specialists who diagnosed different things which didn’t leave me with many answers. I came to Themis crying a very sceptical that it would ever end. After 3 months of intense sessions together with Pilates twice a week, he managed to reduce the episodes to zero and now I have zero pain. Really recommend doing this and persisting!! He is also very nice and friendly and it is very comfortable and therapeutic coming to the sessions. Thank you Themis for everything!

Nurses Elena and Marbel were amazing. They looked after me so well. Hendon Hospital made me feel looked after- the doctors and all the staff were caring, knowledgeable and very kind. The hospital was very clean and the service was very quick.
