My daughter was in adult Majors in A&E on Friday in agony. Her consultant was such a lovely fella and kind. There was a housekeep lady there called Karen. She was wonderful, kind and helpful. I couldn’t believe my daughter got a full cooked lunch and dinner too! I nearly fell over! Karen! You are wonderful and you need a pay rise! Xxx(Shame the nurse we had was more interest in her phone!)

Dirty hospital, unfriendly & argumentative(toward each other) staff in the coffee shop! Don’t even know where to begin. Un-trained receptionists. The fish in the pond outside are dying & are un-cared for, doesn’t fill anyone with hope. To name a few issues similar to above I could go on, most importantly my complaint lies with my visit to cardiology today, undergoing a tilt test. This was my final test to rule out anything sinister after being diagnosed with POTS syndrome by a cardiologist - I was greeted my two very young members of staff, clearly no experience in the feild as they chatted to each other like two uni students in a break room whilst I was undergoing my final stage of investigation after experiencing 3 years of heart palpitations, arrhythmia, debilitating days & mental health issues along side being ignored by health care professionals also interrupted by a nurse who just let herself into the room whilst I’m laid on the table to say “oh didn’t know there was a patient in here, just need to check the drug cupboard “ no apology , whilst I’m laid there vulnerable with my top up & wired up. I waited 3 years (after being falsely told I can’t have children amongst other things like it’s just your anxiety) due to my condition & the wrong meds Iv been put on & everyone passing everything off as it I hadn’t suffered to be told by the young girl not to listen to my cardiologist as she believed there’s nothing wrong with me & denied me having any issues, I was told by this woman that “you have never had an arrhythmia” (I was blue lighted to hospital 3 years ago by ambulance who said that’s exactly what I had as my heart rate was 150 at rest!) I still have the paper recording! She told me all this whilst smirking at her colleague. I left today feeling like a liar & as if I was there for fun! The staff based on my experience today need a lesson in empathy & people skills. I hope that Maidstone hospital contacts me for more information as I hope no other patient has to experience what I did today.

My partner is undergoing treatment every 2 weeks for terminal cancer. Every member of staff has been kind, courteous and helpful. We are so grateful that Geoff is under this hospital's care. I cannot rate this hospital highly enough. Thank you for all you do.

Speaking frankly I was very impressed. In just under 2 hours I had seen a Doctor at the time of my appointment, had a mammogram and ultrasound sound and then saw the Doctor again. I understand clinic appointments can have delays and I was lucky not to have a problem discovered, but I thought everything was very well organised. The Doctor and nurses were friendly and reassuring and the radiologists very professional and kind. I managed to park easily in zone E. The receptionist was helpful as I'd forgotten my form and did need to change the telephone numbers. Which I have been informed had been amended. A follow up call is already arranged. Which the Doctor said he'd arrange to be thorough. No rushing and felt looked after. I was thinking of trying to go somewhere closer or to London, as I had unrelated cancer treated elsewhere but I’d read good things about the Peggy Wood Breast Care Centre. So thought it’d be the best place to go. Very pleased with the service.

I've been to urgent care on a few occasions and although the wait time was long I was happy from the triage to seeing a doctor. Yesterday was the worst experience , staff member who took my BP wasn't patient friendly , the nurse who I spoke to after asked me why I'm wearing dark glasses , told her they are prescription ,I have a feeling the BP nurse and others commented on me wearing them ,hence her asking as I've never been asked before. The only person who was patient friendly was the Doctor , I felt as if I was wasting THEIR time. Their were a handful of people when I arrived , being in a family with medical backgrounds ( one being the chief officer of a hospital ) I advocate for the staff but the experience I had yesterday has left me thinking - if you don't want to do the job ,leave !

I only rarely leave reviews but I got to say the best hospital we have been to. My partner fell over and hurt her knee and ankle, we went to A&E and from the receptionist to the doctors they were all amazing. Very quick and very friendly staff. The nurse that examined her made our day!

I attended on Friday and I expected a delay. Unfortunately, the delay was increased by many hours as I was left in a waiting area and forgotten all day. When I was eventually seen by the right people they were great and I was attended to very well. Subsequent visit today started well, with the booked in procedure being carried out straight away. Unfortunately, this was followed by many more hours in a waiting room, slowly giving up the will to live.

Absolutely shocking, my adult daughter has been under the oncology dept the past year, caught covid from the hospital after surgery. Rude staff on the reception desk, considering we had waited 2 and a half hours past the appointment time a simple update would have been sufficient but was met with rudeness just for asking how much longer Just had chemo for the first time, no after care, no emergency numbers given basically left to get on with it. Just thankful she has family to help her.

Probably the most positive experience i have had with the NHS today and my first visit to Maidstone Hospital. The staff were attentive, respectful and explained everything to me fully. I felt less like a 'body' and more like a person.
