By the time you get through to the scan department or even get a call back after leaving numerous messages you may just as well wait for the NHS appointment. The receptionist has an awful attitude but is entitled to a bad day. Thankfully there are plenty of other places that offer the care required

High quality service. I am receiving physiotherapy and hydrotherapy weekly with Sharon.I find this very useful after my back surgery in August. .Sharon is extremely professional , puts you at ease and gives me confidence to carry on with the exercises at home and at my local swimming pool.

Had a revision of a rhinoplasty graft , done many years ago buy another surgeon. Professor Chatrath , was clear and concise with the outcome and procedures needed. After my surgery I was amazed at how talented Professor Chatrath was. My nose is now as it should be. The after care was very good as well. The nurses where all outstanding with alot of care. My only concern was the way I had to jump through hoops with the initial consultation and a appointment regarding my mental state. I thought this was unnecessary and additional cost. But overall very pleased with the outcome.

My experience at this hospital has been amazing, I have been seeing orthopaedic consultants Mr Tsekes for ongoing issue with my tennis elbow. Mr Tsekes is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable and has offered me the best care so far. All staff at the hospital is very friendly and attentive. U truly feel cared for in Spire Hartswood. I have always been offered appointments to see consultants at short notice when I have asked for it. I had an elbow surgery few days ago and the care for me from checking in till discharge was amazing. I was given private room, had my own bathroom, was given menu to choose from different variety of sandwiches, rolls, panini for after my surgery. My sandwich and tea was lovely. Consultant came to see me before and after surgery and nurses was looking after me all the time, they was very friendly and nothing seemed to much for them. I would recommend Spire Hartswood to anyone.

Super friendly and professional staff, I was kept well up to date. Food was great too. I was provided a very comfortable private room for my day procedure. This was not the case when I had the same procedure done at London Independent where I was on a shared ward. I would choose Spire Hartswood again if I could.

Absolutely awful place to work. Negative working environment, full of bullies and a massive divide between theatre teams, causing lack of communication which is deemed important. Mess up of final pay, refusing to pay for shifts that equalled 16 hours & couldn’t care less about staff. Wouldn’t recommend to those looking to work here/ or attend for surgeries

Poor treatment of family members ,wasnt allowed to sit with my wife while she waited for her procedure ,then when asked should i stay or go , i got "She can call you when shes done ", Then got Pretty women look so left ......to then get a call from my wife say i can come up and sit with her now . Your staff need to remember people get nervous about an ops no matter the size of the op ,my wife got better info from the NHS when i was in Papworth for my heart transplant

I recently had an operation at this hospital, after the operation my blood pressure was very low and the nurses were not happy for me to be discharged. This was continuously monitored from approximately 5:30pm with the last check being around 8pm, I was advised at this point that I would most likely be kept in overnight as my blood pressure kept dropping. After this point there were no further checks on my blood pressure with the last blood pressure reading taken being 84/44. The next interaction from a nurse was from a new nurse who came in at 9:30pm with my prescription medication from the anaesthetist and discharge letter in a sealed envelope. She did not check my blood pressure and said she would leave me to finish my food and come back shortly, I told her not to worry and she could do what she needed to but she still chose to leave. By 10pm she had not returned so my partner went to find her, when she came in, she took my cannula out of my hand, did not check my blood pressure, and told me that I could go whenever I had got my things ready to leave and left the room. My partner and I were left to find our own way out of the hospital without any assistance from a nurse and nobody around in the hospital to direct us to the exit. Considering the concerns about my low blood pressure, the fact that this was not checked prior to my discharge was potentially very dangerous especially as we were not escorted from the hospital and there were no members of staff around at all as it was 10:10pm by this point. As well as this, I was given no aftercare advice from the surgery as to when I can resume normal activities such as driving/housework etc or given a follow up appointment with my consultant, both of which should have been done prior to my discharge. The discharge letter was printed an hour before I had even been discharged and states that I was spoken to about aftercare in relation to pain management and DVT etc when I was given an envelope with leaflets and told I could leave. The only saving grace on this day was an amazing nurse in recovery called Barbara who was an angel, she looked after me and made sure I had someone with me the whole time I was in recovery and did whatever she could to make me comfortable and ease my pain. She’s a brilliant nurse and deserves recognition for that. Other than that I would not recommend this hospital at all. This has also been logged as a formal complaint with the hospital.

This hospital is a shambles. They did not provide me with any results for over 4 weeks, despite several chasers from both myself and my insurer. Not the service you expect when going private, you get quicker results going to see your GP. After this appalling service, they still try and charge you, despite not getting you any results! More concerned about money then patient well-being.
