Excellent appointment with Dr Martin. I went in worried about my newborn being sick. He was empathetic and professional. I left feeling reassured and cared for. Thank you very much.
Outcomes of the surgery unknown as only four days ago, but very impressed by the extreme kindness and professionalism of the doctors and nurses given how nervous I felt. Chose here due to problems with a surgeon in Brighton where I live (being referred to him whilst he was under serious investigation that eventually had a poor outcome) - currently, pleased I travelled the hour extra.
I wanted to share a positive experience that I have had recently at the old cottage, I asked my GP JB to complete and send off my right to choose referral. This was done so quickly for me and I have just received a diagnosis that I have known was positive throughout my whole life, I feel so relieved and I am looking forward to the future. I cannot thank you enough for your time!
Attended this hospital yesterday, I found staff very nice from the receptionist to Jo and Jane who were very attentive and Jo explained procedure for cataract thoroughly and put at ease. I am awaiting hip operation and finding walking difficult, but it was no problem to Colin who pushed me from waiting room to theatre and back again, telling me off for not keeping arms in! Thank you all for your amazing work,your care and attention.
I have always been full of respect for most of the doctors at this surgery. I have always been full of respect for the reception staff too. I do know that one lady can be quite rude and I have experienced this as well, but she is quite elderly and perhaps it is now retirement time or perhaps it has already happened. I know that patients are dissatisfied with the length of time it takes to get an appointment and I am not sure, but it would appear that quite a few doctors in this surgery are part-time, or so I have been told. Whether that is true or not I don't know but I suppose this would impact on appointment times if it is true. I do think it is a shame that the receptionists seem to have had their responsibilities restricted. They used to be able to deal with more things a few years ago than they can now and it was nice to be able to speak to someone from the beginning instead of having to go through a series of recorded hoops before you get a human being to speak to. I have just seen the announcement about the death of Dr Bunn. He wasn't my doctor but I have seen him for appointments over the years. He was a warm and very down to earth man and a very, very good doctor. He was taken far too soon but I hope that he will continue to be a role model for all of the young doctors who came into the the Old Cottage Hospital.
Ms Harper and her team performed a hand surgery on my left hand where a foreign body had been stuck for nearly a year. Ms Harper and her team were absolutely brilliant in ensuring I understood the procedure and the post operation follow up The surgery went very well and I am healing very well indeed. I am very happy with the care and service I received thank you
I moved to Epsom in 2020 in the midst of covid and joined this gp practice. I must say the drs have been amazing. Any issue I’ve had I’ve been able to email and have a phone call with the dr the filling day. Prescriptions have been released very quickly. I also had all my midwife check ups here for my first pregnancy and the staff were amazing. Reception are friendly too. Shocks me people have left bad reviews here as this is not the case. Their opening hours are great and I’ve also managed to get same day appointments.
This online management is now gone down on quality. Patients cannot make appointment when they want to, can't get through the surgery, no appointments, no telephone appointment, on top of that even online forms or emails are switched off too. Very unhappy the appointments or patients are handled. Can we go back to the precovid system which was way better.
I have only positive feedback for the practice thus far and I've been with them for over 10 years. I know booking an appointment is challenging sometimes but overall my experience is very positive. Keep up the good work and big thank you to the staff
Went online first to treatment room but was informed treatment rooms were full for the day . So phone spend 45 minutes hanging on, once connect informed that there was little they could do could I phone back in the morning. I explained my situation and informed them that I was in some pain.. still told to phone in morning. I appreciate that there is the covid legacy but what was once a great doctors surgery is now a shell of its former self.
