   Spa Medica in Epsom was my choice when diagnosed with cataracts at Specsavers in Oxted. I have now had them removed and new lenses in my eyes. The appointments for all three visits was fast, efficient and thoroughly well done. The surgeon, the staff from meeting you at the door, through reception, eye testing, pre op, theatre staff to post op were superb and professional. Well done the NHS! Cataract surgery is amazing, I can see once again without that cloudy effect. Post op pain level once home was easily removed with paracetamol the first evening. I have followed the post op advice to the letter, to avoid infection or problems. I bought some cheap reading glasses with advice from my optician to tide me over until I have a proper eye test. If it helps anyone with concerns decide, I say without doubt go for it. And if Epsom works for you, then go there and you will not be disappointed.

   I had my first cataract removal at Epsom a few days ago. All the staff were friendly, kind and helpful. I had to call them up for a problem on Saturday. They tried to get me to an A&E eye clinic near me. All were closed. NHS cut backs!! They were so concerned they arranged transport for me to go to Romford, the nearest Spa Medica open. I had excellent service, again by lovely staff from receptionists, through to the optometrist. I cannot ot praise Spa Medica enough. Thank you .

   All staff are excellent, I have now had both cataracts removed. I thank all the staff and doctors for there kindness and medical support. You are unable to get better care anywhere. They changed my life,I hadn't realised how bad my sight was. Many thanks.

   I would thoroughly recommend this Clinic. They were helpful, friendly and professional. From my assessment in April it took just four months to get both eyes done and finished. I no longer need glasses. Very well done and a big thank you to all the staff both Clinical and Reception.

   2 hours to carry out assessment for cataract surgery on NHS. Asked me to consider private treatment, by their own provider, and at the same clinic. They were very insistent on selling me this “ premium lens” at a cost of £3-4k, telling me that it would be much better than that provided by NHS. I went to Spire for a second opinion and my Consultant said it was a load of tosh and that I needed only a normal lens to provide the best result. He is carrying out the surgery for £1000 less than SpaMedica wanted. Be careful of these people trying to sell you something you probably don’t need.
