   I sought medical attention at the Accident and Emergency department and was advised to consult my General Practitioner for a referral for an MRI scan. Regrettably, the online booking system had a limited 10-minute window for appointments. Upon contacting the reception, I was informed that the opening hours were inconsistent, with uncertainty regarding the next availability, possibly at 9 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon. In my view, this method of scheduling appointments lacks efficiency, resembling a game and causing frustration for individuals. The most optimal approach would involve calling to book appointments, enabling the GP to allocate a specific time slot. The only drawback of the phone system was the prolonged wait time for a response, which could easily be addressed by increasing staff to handle calls. I am dissatisfied with the current system in place.

   My husband came out of A&E and was told to go to GP. So he tried hard to get through online booking but it was open from 8:00-8:40 just ten minutes, when he called to medical centre the lady on the phone said, she even doesn’t know when the online system will be open again to book appointments. If the staff doesn’t know, how do the patient is supposed know. Another thing the lady on the phone said it keeps changing (the time). At the end she even on the phone didn’t offer to help him to book an appointment even for another day. How sad is that. The person is out of A&E and can’t even get to GP

   We recently moved to Borehamwood area and we transferred our GP to Fair Brooke . It was very good experience from the doctors and the nurse we met for vaccination as well , very professional , helpful and friendly.They were very good and professional. The only suggestion is that the reception staff ( few) need bit more politeness and kindness when they are attending the call and in person for support and help . Apart from that our experience was great.

   Absolutely horrified at the level or service fair brook now offer . the only GPs not offering face to face appointments for all, telephone triage is a joke, you literally can never get an appointment if you happen to have children that need to go to school or you have a job and can't spend hours on the phone waiting only to be told that there are none available . my urgent cancer referral was messed up by one of the GPs twice instead of two weeks I waited over 6 only for them to mess it up again and in the end had to rely on a different consultant to get my scan . then today I get a message from them saying i need a telephone appointment... so I call wait 25 mins for someone to answer then get told I have to call back at 2pm.... I HAVE A JOB ... with the NHS so can't disappear to keep calling you when you have requested that I ask for an appointment ... seriously I am done and am moving to Manor view after 40+ years of being with fair brook the level of care is a disaster .

   Their appointment system is utterly ridiculous. It's fastest finger first and you still cannot get an appointment for 10 days. The advice offered just to make an appointment varies from day to day I appreciate they are under enormous pressure but they aren't unwell, we the Patients ARE I enrolled with them a little over a year ago. Clearly they are under staffed. I regret signing with them, I've never experienced this type of difficulty in my life Again I understand the difficulties, these problems are very much to do with the Government but at least provide your patients with consistent information?

   Really disappointed with the surgery. Waiting lists are huge and after nearly 1hour wait you will be told there are no appointments. They don't even listen to what your problem is. They just say there are no appointments and hang up. Never faced issues like this in my previous GP practices.

   Worse surgery staff ever.....Never have i experienced any surgery staff who are so unhelpful.....waiting time when you call them is 40 to 1 hour approximately. After long wait over the phone they will say no appointments. Anytime of the year you call them their response is "We are full today" no matter how bad is your health or struggling to breath, they don't care.....The staff tries to put words in your mouth although you don’t mean it. Very inhuman and insensitive to patient’s needs. Extremely unhelpful employees, not sure who appointed them for this responsible job.

   When you consider the immense pressure the staff at Fairbrook are under, they are doing their very best to help us all. I have been using this surgery for 24 years and on no less than 3 occasions, their timely hospital referral saved my life. I cannot believe how very rude and offensive some reviews are. I know how difficult it is sometimes to get an appointment, but some patience and common courtesy will get you the best results.
