Me and my family have travelled from Preston to have a few nights here in York for the new year, we have dined here 3 times now and each experience has been lovely, the staff extremely helpful and very friendly, but a special shout out to Christine who has helped me and my son without ask, nothing has been too much. My son has special needs and she has adapted the surroundings to him and to his needs also, even right down to making his drinks the correct temp so he can drink them without fuss. Nothing has been too much, and she really does just carry a very special welcoming aura about herself :) Happy new year everyone we will be back ♥️

A much needed meal after a long day, and Millfield Beefeater delivered. We went for the steak and the hunters chicken from the 8 pound menu, alongside a crispy beef side. Everything was served hot, tasted fresh, and was well prepared. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Very good value and a spot we’ll happily return to.

We Stayed 3 nights at the premier Inn, where the restaurant is attached. During our stay we opted for the Breakfast/Dinner promotion. The buffet breakfast has a large range of cereals and of course an English breakfast and sets you up for the day. The staff are very conscientious of any food allergies you may have, which is very reassuring. Dinner service was very efficient (considering when we stayed was a busy time of year, you don't wait long for your food!) which Is excellent. Staff are friendly, hard working and nothing is too much bother, would we stay again? absolutely! we will be back in the warmer months next year, highly recommended.

Lovely Beefeater, friendly staff. Annie was amazing, polite, attentive. Sunday lunch great, especially cauliflower cheese and the banoffee cheesecake. A nice stop off on a work trip.

Great place. I was down staying at hotel next door for work. I had breakfast and dinner there 4 nights and it was great. Lovely staff. Quick service and food was always great and fresh tasting! Id recommend the chicken wings to start. They were great!

Ate here as we were staying in the attached hotel and there was a meal deal on. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice and back to buffet style. Coffee was nice and Breakfast service was spot on. Dinner the night before was a little lacklustre, service was slow despite being quiet in the early evening. I had the ribs which were good but warm, not hot. The burger was OK and the sides were pretty good but overall the food was more wetherspoons than the price would have you believe.

Had both breakfast and Dinner here. Both delicious, I have no complaints at all. I had the grilled salmon for dinner which was very good. For starters had chicken goujons which were very tender, just wish there was more.

Just like the rest of the chain pubs in England. Wide range of food and drinks to choose from. Only downside is we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive at the table, there was only a few tables in the restaurant that were occupied and we had only ordered 2 cokes so I thought this was a little slow. Other than that, the food is nice and you get what you pay for.

We popped in here for an evening meal and a couple of drinks while staying at the premier inn. They have kids meal / menu options and there is a fair amount of choice on the main menu, although it's all a bit more pricey than I remember a beefeater pub being... perhaps it's been a while!! Staff seemed cheery and they were cleaning up tables fairly quickly. The main restaurant loos were not available, which meant that the bar toilets were only ones in use, which for a large restaurant / pub were not very big. Also a few options on the menu that were not available. When food came it was all fine, not spectacular but fine. I gave it an extra star as they had some nice cocktail options that the wife took full advantage of (what with only a small walk to do afterwards!)

Visited here only because it was the closest eating venue to the Premier Inn in York. Whilst they have tried to make it festive, it felt a bit empty in terms of ambience. The staff members are nice enough, but beware of the personal compliments before you pay your bill, just a tad obvious and sycophantic. The food is not great, and that's by Beefeater standards. If you can eat somewhere else I would suggest you do, but if this is your only choice, be prepared for disappointment, and a relatively sizeable bill considering the quality.
