Went for Sunday dinner yesterday with my Husband,.we have been many times, wasn't to busy as it was just after 5,we both ordered the beef, one large one small, waited 45 mins, when it arrived it looked lovely apart from Mt red cabbage, which was dry and nearly black in colour, when we tried it it was just about warm and food on the edge of the plate, was actually cold. When we were asked by the waitress how are food was ,I said the tastes lovely, but it's cold,as was the cauli cheese.and asked her if they could get it warmed up.she apologed

We stopped by this lovely family-run pub on our way to the Pumpkin Patch, and it turned out to be a wonderful find. Even though the place was quite busy and we didn’t have a booking, the owner kindly arranged a table for the two of us, our child, and the pram, making sure we were comfortable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—truly a family-oriented pub. A friendly lady, who seemed to be part of the family, served our food and made us feel right at home with her cheerful conversation and sense of humor. We had driven all the way from Birmingham, and pubs like this are hard to come by in our area. The food was absolutely delicious; my lamb shank was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor, and my husband really enjoyed his lamb dish as well. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for such high-quality food and service. We’ll definitely be coming back, especially during the festive season. Highly recommended!

Nice welcoming pub atmosphere, staff friendly and attentive. Enormous portions when ordering "large", careful what you wish for. Large wine also good value and decent size. Busy and popular. Plenty of car parking.

Had looked this place up as we wanted somewhere that served food all day. Reviews looked good, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 4pm, it was mid week so it was relatively quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. Make sure you go hungry as the portions are massive. We have big appetites so were fine. Food was delicious and the service throughout was excellent. Will definitely be returning and have already recommended to friends.

In brief; great food, great beer and first class service. We called in on a Thursday lunch time just before 12:30 and to our surprise the carpark and the pub were already full. We hadn't booked in advance and although there was only two of us we were lucky to get a table. Next time we will definitely book a table in advance. There was a good selection of beers and the beer we had was great. The menu offered a good selection of dishes, we had only called in for a light lunch and went with the chicken sandwich, which was served with chips, not quite a light lunch, it was very filling but it was fantastic, we really enjoyed it. All in all a great lunch, we will definitely be returning soon.

Our first visit to this establishment. And we weren't disappointed. I had a shepherd's pie, which you don't find on the menu at many places. It was absolutely delicious. My partner had a 12 oz sirloin, which I tried. This was nice and tender, with lots of flavour. Portion size was huge, so she couldn't finish it. I definitely recommend.
