I've recently started taking my 3 month baby to the baby groups and it's so lovely...not only is there toys and mats for babies to roll around with, but the staff are amazing. They care about the parents aswell as the babies and we really love going.

Just wanted to express how unhappy I am with the treatment I received from the midwife Bukky. She discharged me and told me everything is fine and my c section looked good but actually it was infected. I have a horrible rash as well from the plaster they used after surgery which she said it was part of the healing process. When I asked her about the red spots all around the c section area she told me β€œyeah yeah is all good" without even looking properly at all, now I'm suffering a lot as it is extremely difficult to breastfeed and keep baby close to me when I want to scratch my belly so bad. Anyway I don't mean to be rude but I want to express my dissatisfaction and I really wish she actually checked properly and maybe this could've been avoided all together or treated much earlier. Unfortunately as a midwife she’s not as warm as you would expect a midwife to be. Is all about the paperwork..she didn’t listen to what I was saying from the beginning, just looking down on papers and not even making eye contact once. However, of note I just want to add that there were other midwives and healthcare professionals, of less seniority that were very nice, pleasant and kind at the other visits I had. It was more of what was expected going in as a pregnant mother and then with a new born. Overall it was a thoroughly bad experience with Bukky and I’m happy I don’t need to go back there.

1 star is only for the very very rude lady at the reception. She was tired of her life. Speak so rudely on my midwife appointment. I asked where is toilet for urine sample and she replied so rudely u came here before then why are you asking me. I never used toilet before. She was very irritated at my 2 years old daughter as well. Rest the midwife was so polite and nice. And children area staff is also very polite and friendly.

Rude midwife, with unexperienced assistant, unable to find the perfect place to take blood. They talk to you like you're guilty for their personal problems.

The best children's centre in Havering. Staff are helpful and informative. It's clean and a lovely environment to bring your babies or children. I had all of my midwife appointments here for two children and attended classes such as baby massage, musical jellybeans and baby stay and play. Would recommend again and again.

Excellent, professional service from all the staff in the centre. The receptionist is so pleasant and welcoming. The midwives are spreading good vibes all over the place. Our midwife was very experienced, talked us through the whole process in detail and repeatedly to make sure we understood everything.

The most incredible experience having my first child under the midwives and staff at st.kildas. They were always so informative gave me all the time and reassurance I needed. Friendly and kind, excellent birthing classes. I can’t thank them enough for their support and care.

This is the closest children centre unfortunately I have to where I live and I have to visit for my son. the centre is okayish for children although you have to go through very narrow hallways to go to the back where activities take place. But the main let down for this centre is people in reception. They are very rude, unprofessional and not welcoming at all for new mothers. I understand you have to turn mothers away when sessions are fully booked but there is ways you can do without making them feel so disappointed they don't want to go back there anymore although it's for their children's benefit. I was turned away this morning from Play and Stay group as I arrived there 9.40 and I was told you have to arrive before 9.30. That's fair enough. Then as i was keen for my son to attend a children's group i went again around 12.10 for The Jelly Bean session. The lady at the group told me I was very early and I would have to wait at least 15 mins. I asked whether I could wait in the waiting area to be told not possible and I would have to wait outside. As I'm leaving to wait outside, this lady started talking to other colleague about me saying how I was there in the morning and she had advised for me to go back. I really didn't appreciate that when I am in distance to hear them talking about me and how I'm not getting timing right for sessions. That is really unprofessional and this centre manager needs to really look into this. It is simply unacceptable whoever you are or wherever you come from. I am just so disappointed I am considering to take my son to another centre further away although I shouldn't be feeling pushed away when it's a facility for the purpose of children services available in Romford. I would never recommend it to anyone especially when you are a new mother or a mother with a one year old child you are trying to help in his development, hence attempting using these services which are very limited to only 20 children per session. Not only service is limited but you have to deal with opposite to approachable, unhelpful and rude people in front desk.
