Very dirty. Room was covered in black spot and damp patches, while I agree with some it’s a cheap option. A duty of care is absolutely required and to ignore this as it’s “cheap” is frankly stupid. The images you see on booking/Agoda etc are not recent or current and do not show the level of decay and grime. Just avoid or sleep in your car.
My hubby and I checked in on 26th March 2024. The entire place was full of filth. The carpet looked tired and full of sand, the bedspread looked as though it wasn’t changed after a guest checks out, used bar soap in the bathroom, the windows and bathroom were full of moulds. The entire place was unhygienic. Worst of it all, we were bitten by beg bugs. The following day, we informed them of the bed bugs and how unsatisfied we were, hence wanted to check out, they denied us a refund and did absolutely nothing about the bed bugs. We were shocked to have seen such an unhygienic place in the center of London. The Tv was nonfunctional, we informed them and they turned a dead ear. I won’t recommend this unkept place to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I strongly suggest authorities should shut it down immediately. It’s a prison not a lodge. DO NOT STAY!! This place is riddled with bed bugs and other insects, black mould above windows. I’ve been eaten alive by the bed bugs so now have a massive rash going down my arm me and my boyfriend were calling the manager of the Hillingdon lodge from 10 am and he did not answer was asking for a refund and he refused. There was other people’s blood stains all over the mattress and dust everywhere which is dangerous for me as I’m allergic to dust. Most of the staff don’t speak a word of English but was one of them who was very kind and helpful
STAY AWAY!! Its worse than a prison accommodation, in a very BAD condition, strong smell of mould and cigarette and very unsafe and unhygienic. Was there to drop my family member as the company booked it for training accommodation. No one in the reception so walked around to look for staff. Its was then I saw all the horror: smelly toilet, trash bag all all around, broken TVs piled up and it felt like a drug dealer's den. I did not allow my cousin to check in and we quickly made our way out of the building. Have now seen all the reviews on Google, and thank God my cousin didn't have to stay there.
I needed a room to sleep for 5 hours and found this place close to where i was be working. This was definitely my first experience with bed bugs...they were everywhere..it was horrible to see so many ...I just left all most of my clothes there take bugs in the car and home...Avoid Avoid this place..I got to bin all just to make sure I don't take them home...!!!!
Please do not let these fake reviews of a "nice experience" catch you out. This place is a hazard to it's staff and the public. Needs renovation inside and out, currently looks like a drugs den from the 80s. I also see beggers and class A drug uses hang outside so I imagine they live there temporarily.
There is nothing straightforward about this b&b. It is a hell of filth and stench. I never knew such a place existed in London, until I found myself there in desperation on a snowy night. Words fail me to really express my shock, disgust, and fear. All these and more went through me on the night of 11/12/17. The most filthy place that I have ever set a foot in. I couldn't breath. Even the air was hideous and that's not lie. Everything was a complete shamble and utter disgust. I wrapped myself in my coat and scarves to try to achieve a sense of safety. I sprayed out the entire content of my travel deodorant, in desperate attempt to reduce the nauseating odour of that room. This is a place for the homeless. It is very wrong that it is being deceitfully portrayed as a guest home. It isn't! Supremely unhygienic. Do not go there! It's dangerous to one's health and safety. After a 6 hour sleep there, I'm still recovering from multiple tiny bumps or bites which I sustained on my the back of my hands, my abdomen and arms. I thank God for protecting me.
