Had a wonderful two night stay at The Mitre. Managed to grab the last available parking space when we arrived (in the middle of the hotel frontage being decked out with a massive bow for Christmas!). Our (upgraded) room was spacious and comfortable, if somewhat cold on arrival mid-afternoon; we were offered a heater but declined. It got better when the heating came on in the evening. The fresh milk in the room fridge was a nice touch, and the lack of biscuits in the room was more than made up for by the freshly baked oreos in reception after we returned from our trip across the road to Hampton Court Palace. A couple of minor niggles with the room were swiftly dealt with by the very helpful receptionist. The staff in the bars/restaurants were very friendly and welcoming.

For the past 25 years, we have been staying here at the end of our trip. We love everything about it! The rooms are gorgeous. The food is delicious. The location is perfect- Hampton Court Palace is across the street. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The will even throw in an upgrade for a special occasion! Shout out to Ashley who made our stay even better than we thought possible!

My wife and I stayed at The Mitre to attend a wedding. Unfortunately, I caught an illness before the festivities. Of all the places where you could stay to recuperate, this place must be at the top of the list. Our room was cozy and comfortable, perfect given the situation. The location was also superb, as it provides terrific views of the River Thames. However, I would give my highest marks to the hotel staff, who went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant experience. I would strongly recommend The Mitre. Their standard of service is unmatched. Be sure to check them out!

My wife and I loved our Sunday night stay at the Mitre Hotel. What did we like? Wonderful situation on the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary and generous glass of wine on arrival. Large, comfortable and quiet room - we were upgraded to The Royal Mews (many thanks for that) - with complimentary coffee, biscuits etc. Excellent breakfast buffet taken in the lovely round room with wonderful views of the Thames. Settle in Sunday is a really great deal. Would we stay at The Mitre again? Like a shot!

The Mitre Hotel we chose as we had visited Kew Gardens the day we arrived in London, the following day we were visiting Hampton Court Palace. From the moment we parked at the Hotel we had a lovely experience. Greeted by the receptionist as we got out of the car, my small case was taken by her and took us to the room. The room was lovely and spacious, bathroom large and very clean. The evening/breakfast meals/staff were lovely, we had a table looking over the river Thames. The attendant in the car park was very helpful. We would definitely use this Hotel again, nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed at The Mitre for three nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel is in a fabulous location, next to the Thames and Hampton Court. We found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor but there was a lack of effective sound insulation in the ceiling so we had one noisy night because the occupants in the room above were constantly moving around. The breakfasts were good, but we found the menu options very limited for those who were staying on a B&B basis which meant that one had to have the the full English breakfast or pay extra if one decided to order one of the options. A more flexible menu would be very welcome. We had complimentary tickets from the Mitre for Hampton Court, because we were staying for three nights, and that was a bonus. We will recommend the Mitre to our friends, and hope to stay there again soon.

Recently stayed as my husband booked it as a surprise. The hotel itself is beautiful and very stylish. The royal room (311) was lovely, bed very comfortable. Only thing that could be improved is to provide sugar for the coffee/tea. Warning- donβt take the toiletries home else theyβll charge you, it says in the paperwork in the room. This just felt harsh as yours paying around Β£200-300 a room. The welcome as the hotel could have been much better, Iβve had a warmer welcome from a cheap premier inn. Also check in was late, around 4:20pm. Restaurant and food amazing, canβt fault the food or the service from the restaurant staff. They also charge your card Β£100 at check in, which again just feels unnecessary and annoying. Hopefully we get that money back. Although a lovely hotel it lacks a nice and warm welcoming atmosphere

We stayed here for a short honeymoon break last year and we still have fond memories of our time here. Itβs taken me a while to write this review but wanted to share the wonderful experience of staying at The Mitre. The service was excellent with attentive and knowledgeable staff. The breakfast and dinner were delicious along with the fancy cocktails. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a quaint charm and a beautiful bathtub. We enjoyed great views of the Thames and the convenience of Hampton Court Palace being across the road. Overall, we were made to feel very special and will definitely plan to stay again.

We had our wedding reception at The Mitre and it was nothing short of amazing. We will never be able to thank Carolina enough for her dedication and kindness. Carolina spent the year helping us plan and we couldnβt have asked for anything more. Carolina is a real credit to The Mitre and has made the past year of planning so happy for us. Even when we would pop by for a drink/food, Carolina was always there to welcome us and make us smile. Our friends and family cannot stop talking about the incredible food we had and said it was the best wedding banquet theyβd ever had! Everyone keeps telling us that they will be going back. Every member of staff was wonderful on the day and we canβt thank them enough. The service was amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure that our evening was magical. We stayed in the King Henry VIII suite on the night of our wedding and it was just beautiful. The interiors of the room are beautiful and so delicately designed. We didnβt want to leave! We are already looking forward to our anniversary when we get to stay again and re-live the day! My husband and I cannot recommend The Mitre enough. Our dream day was made possible by everything and everyone at The Mitre.

Stayed in the Catherine Parr Suite for 3 nights across our wedding in August (bank hol). The room is beautiful - large, clean, comfortable, complimentary mini-bar (+ welcome wine and cookies), efficient room service and has views over to the Palace. The meal we had there was really good quality and the breakfast selection is good too (although a shame cooked breakfast isn't included unless you're in a suite). The staff were all helpful and friendly and any issues were dealt with quickly. Staying again in December!
