Truly such a magical experience! The room was absolutely immaculate, and it felt like I’d just stepped into a Slytherin dorm. The hosts are incredibly kind and thoughtful, really cannot rate this any higher!! Truly recommend!!
Ricky Road Guest House is a wonderful, warm place to stay. Marek and the team looked after my family who came over for my wedding so brilliantly, the service was exceptional. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
This B/B was the most perfect location to stay in absolute comfort and attention for visiting Harry potter studio tours, we took our 8 year old grandson and booked the wizardry room as a surprise and when we arrived Marrick met us at reception and he was so friendly and took us to a double room, my grandson was a little bit bored, then he said wrong one and took him to the Harry potter room Elliots face was just amazing to witness, I can only sum this B/B in a few words Room perfect, management perfect, Continental breakfast perfect, location perfect, value for money perfect. This place is quite basic, but the rooms have everything you need, staff are very friendly, it’s quiet and the beds are comfortable. I definitely got a good night sleep. There is around 10-12 parking spaces which has been plenty every time I’ve been here. It’s my favourite budget place to stay in Watford. Much more comfortable than an Airbnb.
Unfortunately, we have to leave a negative review due to the hotel’s complete lack of consideration for exceptional circumstances. We tried to cancel our booking for a valid and serious reason, but the management flatly refused to acknowledge the situation as exceptional. We made several attempts to contact the management however they were too busy to speak to us. We believe this kind of attitude towards guests is unacceptable. In hospitality, empathy and a willingness to find solutions should be a priority — sadly, this hotel showed none of that.
We booked 2 rooms for a 3 night stay. The Harry Potter themed room is amazing, with attention to detail that will delight any fan. It is spacious and very comfortable. The other ensuite room was more basic but was comfortable and met our needs. The buffet style breakfast is excellent, very clean and well organised. There is parking on site. We really enjoyed our stay and it was an effective base while visiting the Harry Potter Studios and London.
Thank you so much for wonderful stay in your accommodation. I definitely recommend this place for everyone. We went to London as family of 5 and first of all Peter arranged everything from room to taxi - we didn’t have to worry about anything. Then Sam welcomed us in Ricky Road house place and explained everything we need to know and also provided recommendations where to go, what to explore and where to go for a dinner. Sam was also helpful while we needed something during a day. In the morning we had amazing breakfast - nothing was missing. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. By far the best place to stay in the Watford area. I always take a long time to find the best place to stay in new areas, and came across the Ricky Road Guesthouse through good reviews and I would 100% recommend this to anyone. The service was fantastic from check-in to checkout, and we were given the best recommendations in town from Sam. The place was so clean, the continental breakfast was fabulous and the location is perfect. Looking forward to returning back here nex time we visit the Harry Potter Warner bros Studios tour.
After being let down by another local hotel, Ricky Road literally came to our rescue! We were travelling up to the Harry Potter Studios with my young daughter. They went above and beyond for us and upgraded us to the Harry Potter suite to enhance my daughter's experience! Peter was a great host and I couldn't recommend it enough! Definitely will be returning in the future!
I really enjoyed my stay here. Facilities were fantastic, good free continental breakfast. Very comfortable rooms, beds and extremely clean throughout. Totally reccomend this hotel and a special mention to the staff, very attentive and extremely helpful! Will definitely visit again!
