Noisy from multiple sources: 1. Planes 6am-10pm, 2. All night: audible plumbing/water pump switching on and off every 10 minutes 3. All night: continuous hum from refrigeration/cooling systems in room underneath. Had room 5.
Booked 2 nights either side of a european holiday. 1 night before we travelled and 1 when we returned. I've got to start by saying the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately that's the only good point. Jumped in a taxi at terminal 3 to be told that TFL want to charge a fixed price of £95 because it on wrong side of M25. Use uber or bolt. When we got there the room was very tired and in desperate need of rejuvenation. The shower head was hanging off the wall and the bathroom floor was dirty. The electrics also looked somewhat unsafe. We stayed a second night after our return from Europe and the second room was worst. 1 double plug that looked it had overheated at one point. The ensure was a joke. Toilet hidden behind the sink. The shower cubicle was dirty with a stained curtain and no cover over the extremely dirty drain hole. The vent was just a hole in the ceiling.
Convenient place to stay if you’re flying from terminal 5. Fine for a night, rooms are neat but look tired.
Pros Cute historic building Close to airport Close to major bus routes Personable staff Italian restaurant had delicious pizza and beers. Cons Outdated tiny rooms Beds too small for couples Rooms falling apsrt - need work. Some rooms have limited wifi connection Rooms get super hot in summer Loud airplanes constantly flying above If you're looking for something cheap and close to the airport this will work for you. If you want a comfortable stay in a beautiful property this isn't for you.
We had a pre-paid reservation with hotels.com. And had a telephone conversation with the hotel a day before check in, agreeing specific arrangements for a late check in. When we arrived after a late flight the front door to the building was open, but no bedrooms doors were open despite them promising ours would be. There was clearly no one either working or staying there, the place was deserted. We tried calling and emailing but no response. And no response to follow up emails. We tried every bedroom door twice, so had a good look around the public areas. From what we saw we conclude we had a lucky escape - the whole place was run down, grubby & grotty. I note previous Tripadvisor reviews from people who have had the misfortune to stay at Colnbrook Lodge have variously described it as dirty, smelly, terrible, just awful, rundown and disastrous - from what I saw I would agree with all of the above. This place is just not a viable option. Clearly I was naïve booking it, I had no idea that such truly awful places actually exist any more. I should have read the reviews from the poor people who have had the misfortune to stay in this awful place. We had a lucky escape NOT staying there.

I had a one night stay. I had room number three. It honestly exceeded my expectations by a long shot. The room has great soundproofing, so I didn't wake up at all from the constant noise from the airplanes. Having the restaurant attached wasn't an issue because I wasn't getting any drifting smell from the restaurant in my room. It was a very clean room. It also looked like there had been some recent upgrades to the room. The flooring was quite new and so wasn't the bathroom sink. The shower and toilet were clean as well.
Best place to rest before flight for its price! Everything was clean, and shower is good.
Shocking stay, first told it was £50 over the phone and he charged me £60 when I was there. As you can see from the photos I paid for a double room without bathroom. The shared bathroom was dirty no toilet roll the shower rail was broken so had to hold it and at 1pm there was no hot water, even the cold water had very low pressure. Room was unfinished and in a bit of a state. Was ment to stay there an extra night but I decided id rather book somewhere else. Next to my room look to be where they kept all their old mattresses, i would avoid this
