   Brilliant find. Stayed here for one night as son was passing out at pirbright, but service was excellent. Staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful. We stayed in room 59. Was lovely, clean and modern. Nice smells throughout. Xmas decks on point and we noticed it isn't too far from the big shopping centres. Truly worth a visit. Breakfast great value for the area. Can't praise this hotel and it's staff enough. Everyone from the cleaners to the front of house was polite, friendly and helpful.

   Entrance is hard to find at night. Great venue, nice buildings, service was excellent, staff were all super nice. Food was OK at the bar, nothing outstanding but decent. Breakfast was really really good and the breakfast staff were great. Gym is decent for a hotel like this as well, has a range of cardio and strength equipment and a decent range of dumbbells which is pretty rare.

   A Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful Area I had a great stay at this hotel. It made a very good first impression as I drove past the gate entrance — elegant and welcoming. The reception staff were friendly, and the atmosphere immediately felt warm and inviting. The gardens are stunning, and the interior has a classy, tasteful design with a lovely color scheme throughout. My room was clean, minimalist, and cozy. The towels, bedding, soaps, and other amenities were all of good quality, which added to the comfort. There were only a couple of small negatives: the overhead shower head could use a clean to remove limescale, and during the night there was a constant rattling noise — possibly from furniture, a piece of wood, or something in a nearby room — which disturbed my sleep. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. I look forward to coming back for another stay — and next time, I’d love to try the bar and restaurant too.

   We recently had our wedding at Gorse Hill, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. Everything on the day was seamless from start to finish — the communication, the planning process, and especially the day-of coordination. The venue itself is stunning — The grounds, the hotel and the event space were perfect for how we saw our wedding. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. The atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for: romantic, relaxed, and most importantly unforgettable. A huge thank you to Brandon for going above and beyond to make sure every detail on the day was perfect. We truly felt supported every step of the way and were able to enjoy our day completely stress-free. He is the person you want to have on the day to help and guide. If you're considering Gorse Hill for your wedding or event — do it. You’ll be in incredible hands, and your day will be everything you dream it to be. Thank you to Nicky for brilliant communication, always responding within minutes and being super helpful with organising and planning. Thank you again for making our special day so magical!    It was lovely but there was a big group of us so we had to keep reminding the wait staff what we had ordered as was taking quite a while to arrive, however they brought us multiples of everything we requested which was very lovely of them. The afternoon tea room doesn't have great acoustics so we struggled to hear each other without shouting...which might have been again due to there being so many of us!! Absolutely stunning location and staff were really sweet

   I was extremely impressed at the staff at the Gorse Hill Hotel. We had a late drink at the bar and they were so accommodating and incredibly friendly. The bartender in particular was such a warm personality and we did catch him laughing at some parts of our conversation, he definitely contributed to how good our stay was! The hotel is split into different buildings and the outdoor area is beautiful and well-maintained. The room was good, nothing special but it had a comfy bed and was a clean room. Thank you to everyone at the hotel.

   This place was amazing and I would definitely recommend it! We drove 1 hour here for our family’s wedding and they did not disappoint! The food their was amazing and delicious! Worth the price! We booked the suite and when we came in it looked immaculate! The room was very spacious and easy to find! The staff there were great too! With amazing personality’s and made you feel very welcome to the hotel. Definitely worth the one hour drive!

   Very secluded and not easy to find but once found it is a lovely place. Two reasons for not giving 5 stars 1. We found a huge bag of belongings of the previous occupants in our room, definitely not wanted as it makes you question the cleaning/housekeeping. 2. As we were eating our evening meal (outside) we saw a large rat running around quite near us. It wasn't my imagination as other residents also saw it. On the plus point the service was outstanding and the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.
