   Rude and Homophobic Staff( receptionist ) Awful experience. The staff I might say “one of the receptionist “ a old man was extremely rude and made homophobic comments. My room keys didn’t work, and they left me waiting for over an hour to fix it even though staff were clearly available. They acted as if helping me was some kind of favour or free stay. Totally unacceptable — I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially LGBTQ+ travellers apart from that it’s very dirty hotel stay away if you want to have a nice holidays in London

   The service was great on arrival then everything went downhill pretty rapidly. Room was okay, one thin pillow which seems odd so that affected sleep. The main issue was someone trying to get into my room at 1am (as a woman travelling alone this was pretty terrifying) so I had to put the chair in front of the door. Then I had members of staff talking loudly all night which I could hear from my room. Doors banging, people on mobile phones shouting in other languages right outside my door. Door bell ringing all night. All in I got about 3 hours sleep and left as soon as I could in the morning. Horrible experience.

   Rooms was on top floor experienced water heater/shower noise for other rooms throughout the night. Bed was comfy but wobbly so any movement caused bed to move. Also bed was against a wall under sloping eves with bed across bottom as it was a family room so very difficult to get up. Fridge was broken, shower was hot and decent but drain clogged quickly. Location was close to tube.

   The hotel seemed older. The room was small, with a view of the roof. The room was cleaned every day, the trash was taken out. The ladies in the kitchen were pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately, the breakfast menu was small, but tasty. The location was good.

   First of all, I have to commend the photographer for letting the hotel seem larger and more luxurious than it ever will be. I had a single room which in it's entirety was smaller than the german minimum for solitary confinement cells. Fittingly, the bathroom was minuscule and if I had been overweight, I doubt I would have been able to use the toilet or shower as it was such a tight fit. The room was clean enough, if you disregard the mold in the bathroom tile grouts. The mattress and funnily enough the bed itself was springy and I felt as if it wanted to throw me out every time I moved, I felt the individual steel coils while laying down. As my room faced the main street and the window wasn't closing tightly, I heard every emergency service vehicle passing by and all the noisy people on the street during the night. The walls are also very thin, which is why I heard too many things from the adjacent room. Don't be fooled by the website stating there will be a continental breakfast. Toast, beans, fried or scrambled eggs, joghurt, milk, cereal, fruit salad, cheap tea or instant coffee, water and orange juice, porridge, apples and oranges. Those are pretty much your options, there is no variety and an abundance of monotony. My room was equipped with an electric kettle, but the sink was too small to be able to conveniently fill it, instant coffee, tea, milk and sugar are provided on the miniature cabinett featuring two small drawers and representing all the storage in the room, apart from a towel rack. This hotel represents the absolute minimum for the price. It's an old town house which was converted by an investor for maximum profit, which seems to work seeing as the owner also possesses multiple other hotels of this sort in this street. I can't in good conscience recommend it, but it suffices if you don't get anything else. A positive aspect though is the proximity to public transport, there are busstops nearby and it's a 10 minute walk to a major underground hub featuring four different lines, also try the Thai Rice Group restaurant nearby, the food was excellent!

   Had to phone to get someone to arrive to check us in. Was left at the door for ages. Was then told to walk down the street to another building. It was aged, in need of updating and decorating. It was noisy. Youths hanging around in the hallway. This was all before we even got in our room! The room was dingy, furniture had seen better days, I have thrown out furniture in a better state! The bed was umcomfortable, cups for tea were cracked. Didn't use them. My son was reluctant to have a shower. Really really awful. Had paid for breakfast. Walked back to original building the next morning for breakfast, shouldn't have bothered. I bowl of cheap tinned fruit cocktail and some cereal. Turned and walked back out and went down the road. Would I recommend this place? NO I would not. It was absolutely awful.

   10 minute walk from any time station. Room was in a state of disrepair. No full English breakfast but odd fried or scrambled eggs, beans and toast on the side. Paid over £200 for 2 star stay on booking.com. I wouldn't stay here again.

   I stayed recently here for 15 nights. GBP35 per night (booking online) so this is the main reason I chose it, cheap and location. My review is with the aim to inform future guests and to suggest some improvement to the management of the hotel. I booked a hotel with breakfast included, however upon check in I was told that the kitchen was closed, no solution provided at all. I asked them then why they sell rates inclusive of breakfast if they know that the kitchen is closed. I suggested them to contact hotels.com and make the correction so that does not happen in the future to other guests. After the 8th night stay, they opened the kitchen and I was able to get breakfast for the remaining of my stay. I stay in room 138, twin. The room is spacious enough and good window view. However, it had a strong mould smell that wouldn’t go even if I left the windows open all day. I had to buy some incense to aromatise. When I reported it to the reception, I was offered another room in another building, but I declined it due to that one being even worst. In my room the toilet has black marks that make it look as if it was dirty. I think the hotel should buy a new toilet for that room as it does look quite bad. The shower was not cleaned at a good standard so I had to buy cleaning products and clean it myself. Positives: Rooms have smart tv so I was able to enjoy movies. For the price I paid GBP35 per night so I can’t complain, I guess you get what you pay for.

   I give five stars because the staff are very friendly and helpful, whoever gave a negative comment I think they should go to a 5 star hotel if a 3 star doesn't meet their standards. The hotel is very clean and bright. It's like buying a Saisbury pizza and expecting the same quality as the restaurant. It doesn't work like that, both will fill your stomach anyway, one may taste better but the purpose is still the same! People always complain, they want to spend little and have the maximum, it doesn't work like that!
