It is super average hotel. The carpet in halls need vacuuming, the room was okay, but the sheets were with stains of blood I think( not much, but still gross), there were black hair all over the floor, although the bathroom was clean. I must say that for a 2 night stay it was alright, but if you are super freaky about cleanness it’s better to avoid.

I was worried after I booked this hotel as I looked at reviews here. But luckily all went smoothly for us. We arrived at 2am and the entry instructions they provided all worked. We had room number 7 with a big bed and there was plenty of heating, bathroom was modern. Room large. All you need for a one night stay. We would easily book this again. Just don't be scared walking up the indoor stairs. They look a bit rough but otherwise all ok. Lick of paint could sort that.

It’s not the cleanest place but I guess it’s a question of luck if you’ll a clean one or not. Our room was more or less clean. That being said, we didn’t expect a spilled coke in the closet, a broken toilet seat and the wifi not to work (we used another room’s wifi, sorry to the neighbors).

Booked a room for the weekend and after a long day of traveling arrived at the hotel to find the code to the room did not work. Zero support available at the hotel and limited response from the owners. They said they would send someone and I waited outside the room for 2 hours and noone came, I was forced to book alternative accomodation at my own expense. Absolutely appalling service and abismal level of communication. If I could give zero stars I would, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE!

I booked The Avonmore Olympia for Notting Hill Carnival and had one of the most frustrating booking experiences I’ve ever had. The listing on Booking.com was misleading — it advertised amenities such as a washing machine, dining area, and kitchenware in a way that strongly suggested these were included in the private unit. Only after booking did the property clarify that these were shared facilities. For a group of six (each with 8ft feathered carnival backpacks), a single room was completely unsuitable, and I would never have booked had the description been accurate. When I tried to resolve this, the property was unhelpful and evasive. Booking.com takes the payment directly, but they can only issue a refund if the property responds to a cancellation request in their system. All Avonmore had to do was click accept or decline, yet despite repeated chasing they failed to do either. They repeatedly told me they had responded to Booking.com, but Booking.com confirmed multiple times that no response had ever been received. This back and forth is still ongoing a week after my initial contact. The phone number provided on Booking.com and the number Booking.com advised me to use were both incorrect, as the company does not actually have a working phone line. There is no escalation process. I was told countless times that “the team” were working on it and that my case was a top priority, but I sincerely doubt there is any “team” at all. I did not stay at this property — it was far too small for our requirements, and my interaction with them completely put me off.
