   My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the overall atmosphere felt disorganized and unprofessional. What bothered me the most was the interaction with one of the staff members, Ecrin. Throughout my stay, their attitude came across as dismissive and unusually uncooperative. Instead of providing clear explanations or assistance, I often felt talked down to, and several charges on my bill were not communicated clearly in advance. While I can’t say whether the issues came from poor internal communication or inconsistent policies, the situation certainly felt misleading, and it left me uncomfortable and frustrated. Transparency and respect are basic expectations in hospitality, and unfortunately, neither was consistent during my stay. Given the number of unresolved problems and the quality of customer service I received, I cannot recommend this hotel at this time. I hope management takes the necessary steps to improve professionalism and ensure guests feel valued rather than taken advantage of.

   Very small room but very clean and a good shower Bathroom looks as if has been renovated recently. Extra mention for staff member Andrew Demitriu. He has been so pleasant and accommodating. Very good customer service. Nothing too much trouble for him.

   !!!DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! I had this booked for a concert but unfortunately due to the train strikes in London, the concert was rescheduled two days before the event. Therefore, I had to cancel the booking. However, when I clicked the option to cancel, it said it would be free (screenshot below to show evidence of this). I actually presented this via email to the staff at the hotel and Andrew was particularly very unhelpful and quite frankly didn’t understand why I was annoyed at the mislead information. I am now £89 down with no help or guidance and not even offered a partial refund for their error. So yes, don’t book this hotel. There a plenty other hotels that will be more accommodating than this and I probably more helpful staff. EDIT: Thanks for responding to my review.. 5 days later. I can’t call between the hours provided as I work 9-5. Again, point proven that you can find better accommodating hotels… who will actually listen and address your concerns. Unfortunately, I find it hard to believe that the staff at Holtwhites Hotel had any intention in helping me solve my issue as you say in your reply. I also addressed the issue to BOOKING.COM and you rejected waiving the fee, so please, do not lie in the response to try look professional and say you would offer assistance. Thanks.

   Stayed 24/06 -26/06. My booking added taxes and cleaning fees to the cost. I challenged this with the website (as I thought I had used it for the booking). However, their website redirected me to a scammer without me knowing. I challenged this, then queried it at reception to discover the address for my booking was fictitious ( in America). When I wrote to the Hotel it took no responsibility for this happening through its website and informed me it has happened because I had booked when in America. This was not true. Their response following up my concerns about this incident was unsympathetic and inaccurate. This is unfortunate as the operational team at the Hotel were exceptionally supportive and helpful, because they recognised the role the Hotel’s website had in played in the incident. The room was small and hot, but clean with an excellent shower, and the road was noisy and busy because of its convenient central location. Until I received the inaccurate letter and an awful reaction to me querying its accuracy, I would have stayed again and recommended it although suggesting the use of direct telephone contact to make bookings until its website was less easy to scam.

   Great room. I was like a fish out of water visiting from America, and the ladies were ever so nice and accommodating, friendly and professional in every way. Will return for more visits. Great location as 4 restaurants are right across the street.

   I had a lovely stay. Rooms and bathrooms had newly been refurbished so were lovely. Room was spacious. Reception staff are very polite, welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

   It was ok, bit of a bother when wanting to pay with cash, you have to leave a £100 cash deposit, there were no cash points local so had to drive around looking for one. Nice and clean, smart tv does not connect to Wi-Fi so unable to watch Netflix etc. The heating turns off once the room gets warm, which is a pain because you have to wait some time for it to reheat, the night clerk was apologetic and helped us with extra sheets. No curtains in the room, only blinds. The lady on the desk was very accommodating, polite and helpful. I doubt I would return.

   Many thanks to all the staff at the Holwhites Hotel! We stayed for a number of nights, due to relocating and the staff were all extremely supportive! Thank you to Elcin, Alec, Duncan, Ali Asif and Trina! A special thanks to Hadika! Your kindness will always be remembered! Ignore any negative reviews! I've stayed in top hotels all around the world and this is a great little find, close to transport, shopping and restaurants! Many thanks once again!

   Pros: clean, comfortable firm bed Cons: car park full, had to park roadside. The loo was 5cms from wall. There was nowhere to buy water! OK I'll boil water, the sink had 15cms of water, by placing the kettle under the tap, the electrics got wet, so could not use. For £90 I expected so much more!!

   Room looks like it hadn’t been cleaned for a month. Dust all over the walls and cobwebs on the ceiling. Dirty lampshade and very ucomfortable bed. Was told there are no other rooms available to swap me to however on checking the website they had 2 rooms available to book for the same night.
