Great stay great value, but it's a shame about some of the people staying on the middle floor floor next to where the showers are located, who can't seem to be bothered to walk up a flight of stairs to the next floor to use the toilet as they seem to urinate in the showers located on the middle floor
Its actually a really good hostal to stay at. This is my first time staying at a hostal and to be have to stay in this place, i think its a very good place. Really good service. Rooms are clean, toilets are clean and all the facilitiea work. So allaround good place.
We heared all noises from inside and outside. There are no benches or racks in the showers area to keep clothes dry during showering. A daynap before a concert or night out is difficult in this hostel. The staff hits every wall and door hard with the vacum and other material.
Overall? Not recommended. There are many hostels that have better amenities for a slightly higher price per night. There's no community space or kitchen. The bathrooms don't have privacy. The corridors are very narrow and weird. The people staying here also felt kinda weird, the vibe felt off. The new cross area is very shabby, depressing. Nothing to do around. The good things are that the staff is wonderful, and the beds comfortable (except that when you turn, the whole structure moves). Bottom line: you may be saving some money, but giving up a LOT.
I stayed at this hostel for one week and really enjoyed my time. The food was good, the bed was comfortable, and the cleaning service was consistent. The staff was friendly, and everything was well-organized. Great value for the price — I would stay again!
My experience at the place was amazing. A true backpackers spot. Relatively clean with its remarkable cleaning personnel....working tirelessly to keeping the amenities neat and tidy. For pricing, best spot in Lewisham Borough. The guys keeping the joint together and i mean the Staffs and Manager are very friendly. Travellers and guests are always going to be trilled to find a warm, cozy and affordable place to stay in SE8.
Great value room with clean facilities. Friendly service at desk in downstairs bar. Hot showers and options for towel rental. Bar is welcoming and a short walk to train station.. Overall, fantastic value. Highly recommended
Worst hostel i’ve stayed at so far. The rooms are outdated and look far worse than the photo’s. Beds are hard and the sheets have holes in them and are very dirty. The hotel is NOISY, we got woken up by russians at 2am screaming all over the place. There is only one sink to use and the bathroom (s) are also pretty dirty. I haven’t bothered checking out the showers
Worst experience ever! I booked the private room. On the second night, we arrived and some guys were taking drugs (more than marihuana) in the toilettes, we were super scared. It was smelling all the hall and the areas marihuana. I was so scared to go to pee so I went until the next day morning. The room was not clean and the bed was terrible with one stain of blood or something under the sheet. The toilets were dirty. I moved to another place after. They didn’t refund me the 3 night left and the key deposit, after I said to them that we were not feeling safe there at night.Please go to another place!! You will lost your money there.
The price is good in compare with other places in London. The rest room was fairly clean because always a lady works there and keep things clean, but there are not enough for all those beds. The dorm has many beds in a small place, at the same time curtains are not good, some of the outlets are broken and there is not bed light, that is why always there is argue about light. I paid 5 pound for deposit of key-cart. Told to manager I leave hostel early morning. He told m if I put that key-cart in the green box, they return money to my bank account but they didn't. As a cyclist I stayed there 4 nights from August 22, 2022 to August 25, 2022. I hope they do some new changes in the dorm in the future.
