DO NOT book this hotel or do so at your own RISK Booked on booking.com The room I booked was a 3 bed spacious apartment with kettle and coffee making machine in a kitchenette are accordibg to the description. What I got was a crammed room full of furnititure and no kettle or coffee maker. The bed had not been changed and had stains on thr bedding. There was also no toilet seat. The booking also said 24hour reception and in the hallway it said to ring outside bell to contact Reception. I did to complain, after an hour waiting there still was no response. Tried to contact them by phone number supplied, it was disconected. Spoke to booking .com to reolve and they said no agreement can be madw with hotel. Complete sham and fake advertising, false photos etc... of the hotel to get business. Then you cant contact them to complain and they run off with your payment, which had to be paid in advance

One of the worst places in the world, as well the people that run this business. I booked this accommodation for my Mother and Grandmother on booking.com and the photos were NOTHING like what it was in real life. The room looked completely different, it was damaged and messy. I booked them a 3 night stay there, and they didn't even spend 2 hours there, they left straight away. I requested a refund and they have just ghosted me, not even acknowledging it. Rubbish place and service.

Be warned - no private toilet, it is shared amongst 4 floors /12 rooms despite having own shower and sink. Flush on said toilet doesn't work and I didn't think they still made 1 ply toilet paper. World nastiest headboard on bed too. Could crack at any moment.

I arrived at this hotel at 4.45 with my 91 year old father. It was all locked up and no-one responded when we rang the bell. We waited 30 minutes before heading to stay with a friend in Southfield instead. It looked really dirty and rundown from the outside. I have paid for two nights.

DO NOT STAY HERE unless absolutely necessary. My partner another group and I arrived a little earlier than our check-in time. The hotel was all locked and no one could get in. We waited 30 minutes knocking at the door and ringing the doorbell until we had to shout out to other guest staying there to retrieve the person looking after the place. (Also their phone number associated with the booking did not work). When we finally got into the so called “lobby” the owner/staff member said we had to put our bags in a room that did not lock with no security and leave until the room was ready. When we came back we were greeted with the most disgusting/dirty room I’ve ever stayed in. They advertise air conditioning. This is not the case. One tiny fan and an old window to open was the only thing to cool the room down. The bathroom was tiny and dated with no window and no fan in there! The water pressure in the shower was horrendous also. The bed was tiny and no way would fit a couple in it like advertised. Also the room is far from soundproof, impossible to sleep as it constantly sounds like someone is banging on your door or trying to get in as the rooms are extremely close together. Overall, I truly recommend spending a bit more money per night to stay elsewhere, and not make the same mistake we did thinking it would be a good deal being close to the tube station (which is the only positive of this entire place).

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I recently stayed at the Russel Square Hotel and I was highly disappointed with my experience. Firstly, the room was not as described, with scuffed walls and an old and unpleasant bathroom. Secondly, we had no hot water for two days and were unable to reach anyone for assistance through phone or in-person calls. As we are still here, I cannot say if the situation will improve. I would not recommend this hotel and would have chosen a different, more deserving establishment for the amount of money I paid. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Small but nice rooms in PRIME location, and a pretty good price/value ratio.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. An additional £309 taken and cannot get a refund. That’s before I start on the actual hotel which is overpriced , outdated, smelly and doesn’t have even tea and coffee making facilities. The furniture, bathrooms , carpet and bedding haven’t been touched since the 70’S and it shows in the cleanliness of the place. The only good thing is the location but at £400 I ended up paying for 1 night it’s definitely not worth it. The owners / staff ignore you and it’s noisy all night long with people coming and going. Disaster of a place

Bad experience. Never expected the room is very outdated. Positive sides - close to tesco for groceries and pret manger for bfast.

Booked online 30 mins before arriving on Queen's Jubilee. No-one answered the door; there is no reception...lots of phonecalls later and a walk around the area for 30 mins and we got in...The photographs were misleading - it's a room with a bed, but that's it. Don't expect anything more than a place to sleep. That said...it was a) available, b) is next door to the tube station and c) is in sensible walking distance to the city centre.
