Absolute awful hotel. Staff very rude. Bedroom not fit for rodents and had to take own sheets and pillow cases. Shared bathroom no words. Ceiling falling down. Just your worst nightmare
Absolute hell hole. Filthy isn't the word. From toe nails and what can only be described of as earwax all over the place. Walls full of damp. The smell of the building alone when u walk in hits u like a ton of bricks. Should be closed down
If you need a place to stay and don't mind sharing a bathroom and can sleep thru the hustle and bustle it's not a bad place. I saw a review on here that said there's bed bugs. Good thing I've dealt with them before and I didn't see any signs of them. Can look thru the reviews and see the people who saw the price and didn't think twice about it. I'd be wary that this is a room for you and no one else so no taking someone home here. That cost me a lay.
Very good location, relatively cheap (although more expensive than it should be considering the state of the place) and bedsheets and towels were clean - but that's about as much as the place has going for it unfortunately. If you aren't picky, and just want somewhere to sleep then it'll do. However be prepared for very very tired rooms and a general feeling of depressed run-down neglect.
If you can figure out the Underground, the location is okay. It’s close by enough to everything touristy in London. But the rooms are awful. The beds are super thin and it’s a single white sheet that didn’t even fit meaning I could see the filthy mattress. The sink in the room was disgusting (the bathroom wasn’t terrible but the water in the shower kept going hot then cold). Also it’s SMALL. I had a single rolling duffel and that made it cramped. The room genuinely has a twin bed and a sink and a stand and that’s it. No cleaning the whole 4 days I was there. I was out 90% of the time and only used it to sleep but even then it’s… you get what you pay for.
Only good part it was cheap. It was so outdated, beds very uncomfortable, bathroom was manky and floors hadn't been hoovered we found m and ms on the floor. We also smelt weed each night coming from the management room which was outside our room. We were in the family room.
I would pick any abandoned building in the chernobyl exclusion zone over this hotel. Since they last modernised living accommodations in 1987 its also safe to say rooms there have had better maintenance then the room I stayed in at the albany hotel.
It is a super budget hotel, so don't expect too much. The rooms and bathrooms are very old, but everything was fairly clean. Amazing location for the price. Good for a quick stopover or if you don't plan to spend much time in your room. Bring sandals for the shared showers. There was hot water.
Owner very nice and helpful, tries to do his best to accommodate you. Place could do with some renovation but it’s still a good value for the price you pay considering the area. Very convenient location - just by the Euston station and Russel square underground station.
This hotel is good for "roughing it" one night. You can't have a shower there, there's no hot water so couldn't stay longer. Definitely need a sense of humour to stay there.
