Offered a room upgrade but heating was not working so we were moved into a smaller room it was very noisy and opposite the kitchens, corridor guests and upstairs were very loud the room was comfortable though. A loud compressor was coming on and off early hours of the morning. Breakfast was good English BF and the staff were exemplary so polite and couldn't do enough for you so this made up for the room location, we still made the most of it, lots of local amenities available and loads of free parking a bonus nice place would recommend we were just unlucky with room No. 7

Stayed at the Gidea Park Hotel for a family party close by. Rooms were clean and tidy, and bed was very comfy. We had a superior double room. Bathroom was fully modern, a world away from the dated main room, but well maintained. My only disappointment was breakfast. Full english for Β£12 was advertised, though what came was half english at best. 1 sausage, 2 rather small, overcooked bits of bacon, 1 egg, 1 plum tomato, and some beans. Toast was stone cold other than the extra toast they bought us. Overall, a very comfy nights sleep, but a lackluster start to the day!

Unprofessional, rude and abrupt staff (Svetla). Paid for a double room. The only thing double was the bed. You could barely walk around the room. The bathroom door was a foot away from the edge of the bed. Room was cold. No heating came on even though the staff said it comes on at a certain time. Emailed the hotel manager and he/she replied back with false stories that didnβt match up to what their staff done on the day. Thereβs much better places nearby with friendly and welcoming staff. Cheaper room rates. Majority of them put heating on in the rooms rather than freeze their guests!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS β misleading, overcharged, and zero customer care I had a terrible experience with this hotel. I booked directly through their website for a single bedroom at Β£54. I even confirmed this with the receptionist over the phone, who assured me I could pay on arrival at the standard rate. However, when I checked in, I was made to pay before even seeing the room, and was charged Β£68.08 β over Β£14 more. When I questioned it, I was given conflicting excuses, including being told it was because I stayed in a double room (which is simply untrue β I stayed in a single, exactly as booked). Despite pointing this out, they refused to refund the overcharge and showed no apology or empathy whatsoever. To make matters worse, the receptionist Svetla was extremely rude on the phone. Instead of listening to my concerns, she dismissed me and even said, βShe talk too much.β Completely unprofessional and insulting. This feels like nothing more than a money-making scheme. The lack of honesty, accountability, and basic customer service is shocking. There was no concern for customer satisfaction at all β just deflection, rudeness, and refusal to take responsibility for their own staffβs error. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Youβre better off with Premier Inn or Travelodge, where at least you get transparency, fair pricing, and respect as a customer!

Took a chance which was well founded. Took a small single room for Saturday night. Had every thing you could want. 2 pillows, fan, bed, dressing table and wardrobe. Bathroom had bath and hand shower. Water hot and everything worked. All white decor, clean and tidy. Quiet room at the back of the hotel. Dinning room/bar is plain but breakfast good overlooking the street and service attentive. Loads of car parking. Very pleased.

Very clean small hotel we stayed overnight as travelling to a funeral. Bed was very comfortable, bedding was excellent with tea/coffee in room. Excellent service and breakfast was good but not included in price. Close to couple of restaurants and a pub.

The building does not look great but belies an efficient, clean and well run establishment. Parking is free. The rooms are small but very clean, bed was great and shower good. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served by Michaela who took the time to call me the previous day to ensure the 10 of us staying that night were OK. Highly recommended and cheaper and better than a Premier Inn. If eating locally then DO NOT book the Harvester next door it is awful, use The Ship , just down the road, Archers across the road (a Greenking pub) or the Indian Restaurant.

We had a room at the basement level which was really small for a double room. It was clean but as recent heatwave it was really warm too. The window opening was facing the driveway and as the vans and cars were going past, the exhaust fumes were coming into the room. The breakfast was not with the price as bacon was hard and chewy. Overall not to our liking and surprised that the current space standards for a double room are not met.

A very good small hotel. Clean and tidy, quiet and modern rooms. Excellent service from a very friendly team. Breakfast was well cooked and the coffee was great. Don't hesitate, it's easy to recommend this one. Free parking.
