Mould in bathroom, put on the top floor and it’s not accessible so don’t book if you have mobility issues or can’t climb many stairs. There is a horrible smell in the bathroom as well and so many marks on the walls. The WiFi given to us was just for the bottom floor and not for our floor so no WiFi. The reception is only open 3-8pm and we only dropped our stuff then slept didn’t check the bathroom so couldn’t even complain as there is nobody here til 3pm tomorrow. Overall extremely disappointed and want some sort of a refund as there’s no way the room is of any standard. I understood the room would be small but there is barely any room with 2 of us to move. Not worth the money, avoid at all costs. Check in with the staff member she was nice but other than that nothing else good to say about this place. Look at the pictures yourself, thank god it’s just for one night!!!!! Big scam!!!! Nothing like the pictures on booking.com, read all the reviews!

Really Disappointing experience with Paramount hotel i recently visited in December 2025. The room had no ventilation and there was really bad smell in room coming from toilets like Urination, even after spraying perfumes and doing all possible stuff it felt like puking all time couldn’t sleep all night as bed was just beside toilet. The room was not so spacious it was bathroom sized rooms. Worst worst worst experience i ever had. I recommend everyone who is reading this review please consider booking another hotel as this will give you Trauma for life…

Our room was not as shown online, it's a very beaten up place, needs some TLC, paint coming off the walls, rips in the carpet, our rooms bathroom light was being held on by duct tape! The headboard was not fixed in place so moved and banged every time we moved! The bed was clean though, and comfy. The location was good though, close to train station and shops

I've personally decided to give this place a five star review. Despite all the recent negative ones. This is due to the very reasonable price for such a handy location. Not exactly the Ritz, however I got everything I wanted, Shower, Toiletries, Coffee making facilities, WiFi etc. Back home if you got a B&B in the middle of nowhere for that price equivalent in euros, it would be a good deal I can tell you!

I stayed in Room 1 over two weeks ago and unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hotel did not live up to its online presentation. The photos used in the listing appear to show only one (likely their best) room, which did not reflect the reality of mine. My room had very low ceilings, which made moving around uncomfortable — I’m just over 5 foot 9 inches tall and felt cramped. Even more bizarre was the room’s layout: directly above the bed was another guest’s bathroom. Whenever someone used it, it sounded like they were right in the room with me. While I understand the hotel is old, the state of the room felt unclean. I found an old contact lens on the nightstand, a hair on the bed, and visible stains on the walls. It didn’t feel cared for or properly cleaned. I ended up staying just one night before deciding to book somewhere else. Trying to address my concerns with the hotel was frustrating. Reception is only staffed between 3–8pm, and the phone line is rarely answered. I emailed multiple times with no reply. I called on several occasions, and when I finally reached someone, I was told the manager was on vacation. This went on for two weeks, and I truly felt like they were dodging my attempts to find a resolution. Overall, the experience was disappointing from both a comfort and service perspective. If you’re just looking for a cheap place to sleep and don’t mind some serious quirks, lack of cleanliness, or unaddressed issues, maybe this will do. But if you’re hoping for a place that resembles the photos or responds to guest concerns, I’d look elsewhere. They certainly won’t refund you for any of your troubles. Honestly, I wish I listened to some of the reviews before wasting my time and money with this hotel.

Me and my dad are in a small oddly shaped room, we're sharing a double bed and it takes up most of the room, most of the room looks clean all except the floor which makes me wonder if outside is cleaner. The keypad for the pin to unlock the door is so worn down that you can probably guess the pin, the lobby smells a bit strange but the staff are really friendly. The room is so hot and the heater isn't even on. I also came across a fire hazard! there was a large dust build up in one of the power outlets.

Even though the room was slightly small, it was tidy and had most amenities that we needed. The lady at the reception was nice and helpful, and the open-air back garden for relaxing and smokers is an appreciable feature. The hotel is situated in a nice and calm neighbhood with easy access to public transport (tube & buses) and local restaurants and pubs. And the price was really reasonable for two during the new year period.

We stayed there for 15 days. We had "budget" rooms (35&36). Although the rooms were small, they were very clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was spotty but for the most part it worked. It is an old building so the carpet in the hallway is dated. But I love the old Victorian charm of the building. My only complaint is no lift so I had to haul my heavy luggage 4 flights of stairs. Grace, at reception, was very lovey and welcoming. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. No daily Housekeeping service but you can get towels and toiletries upon request. There is a Tesco near by to get snacks, food or any incidentals needed. I did take over the door hooks because I knew the room was small and those really helped. If you are from the United States, our hair dryers and flat irons do not work properly there even with the converters for the plugs. The room does come with the hair dryer that works very well as well as a fan. Although we were there in November when it was cold the room was still a bit warm so I kept my fan on and did open my window during the day for fresh air. They offer complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits in the reception area. Very cute backyard area to sit. Great location! Very close to the Earl Court station. Lots of places to eat and pubs in the area on Earl street. I really loved this hotel and will be staying here again on my next visit. They do have larger rooms if you need more space, however we were only in the room to sleep and shower. For me, the single budget room was perfect. Thank you to grace and the housekeeping staff for a lovely stay.

Great stay! Staff was very easy going. Quick check in and check out. Room was good value for money. Location, very convenient. This might be my new London spot. Definitely recommend.

We didn’t get bedbugs like a review mentions It’s not the cleanest hotel ever, but surprisingly the bathroom was so modern and nice It was difficult bringing a 30kg suitcase up all the stairs to the top floor But the price is amazing. We only stayed in the room for 8 hours from 10pm - 6am. The rest of the time we were exploring soho, a 20 min tube journey away. It was fine for a just a nights sleep.
