   Very basic rooms, but clean when you walk in and quite comfortable. The heating seems to be centrally controlled, so if you feel cold you can't just turn the heating on. If you're warm, you can turn the radiator down. The windows let in an awful draft but the curtains held it back a bit and they also did not dampen any external noise. The staff weren't the best at handling situations. They were quite off when we first walked in, only when we explained that we were part of a group that had called ahead to check if the rooms were ready did they seem to soften the way they spoke to us. The dining room staff always seemed to make assumptions when we walked in, there seemed to be no real control of the meal times and who was dining as part the travel group we were in. The rooms were not cleaned for the entire stay, this was surprising but not in a bad way. I prefer this in some ways as it means my belongings are safe, but it did mean that facilities were not provided while out so we had to ask at reception (tea, coffee, milk, towels etc). The location was the best part of the hotel. 10-15 mins from the nearest tube station depending which line you needed and 20 mins walk to Camden.

   The rating may put you off but based on my own experience this hotel was more than acceptable. I stayed in a basement room for about 97 per night which compared to basically all hotels in the London area was pretty good for what I got. The bed was the worst part, mostly due to the mattress being quite springy and thin. However this wasn't a huge issue and it was definitely still decently comfortable. The rest of the room was great, with regular hotel amenities of good quality and an adjustable shower with very good water pressure. If you're just looking for a cheap place to stay, especially as a solo traveller, this is an excellent option if you don't want to go for a hostel.

   Booked for a post gig nap at the Roundhouse. Just up the road from Chalk Farm tube station and the venue itself, the location was great. Room was fine. Staff very helpful. Definitely a reasonable price for the room. It may need a little update but was fine for purpose.

   Spent 3 nights at this hotel. Nice spacious room. I had a bath and shower the bathroom was very clean. Staff were very helpful . Breakfast was good The foyer and the Breakfast room is very nice. It is in a lovely area very near to Camden MARKET and was very easy to get into central London. Would definitely go back again.

   Wasn't expecting much rooms aren't lovely little bit shabby spotless bathroom asked for bath given one loved the location quiet and green in a very good neighbourhood walk to hampstead walk to Camden three underground stations about 7 to 10 min walk express tesco around the corner and some independent shops .booked ahead when I came to check in was told your room has no window if you want a window £30 extra.bad start. Payed for the window happy I did stayed 3 nights no housekeeping that was fine .payment was £287 in the end will go back for the location

   The location is not bad, close to Camden, and the reception was just ok. But the room was awful. It was just like travelling to the 70s, but the bad 70s if I may say so. As we used it mostly to have a small rest during our visit to the city, it was just ok. But came on, the rooms need an urgent improvement.

   This may sound ridiculous but for hygiene reasons I slept fully clothed. Words cannot describe how bad this place is. I think I payed £85 for a last minute booking as working in the area. Stains in the bed, walls and bathroom. I also found stale food under the bed. I have stayed in 100’s of hotel due to my work and I can honestly say that this hotel is by far the worst. No other hotel comes close to this. I couldn’t believe that hotels are allowed to be in this state in the UK this day in age. Awful.

   You get what you pay for. - Not a lots. Good location. However, room was very 'old' Needs updating a revamp. Things are breaking or broken. Looking very tired. Not a particularly comfy relaxing night. Shower was stained and had seen better days. Carpet not very clean. Stay here as a last resort.

   Stayed at this hotel for 41 nights, room was spacious and tidy ish, the staff need to be a bit more aware of how to treat the customers and notify them when things like the water are being turned off. The hotel is in dire need of a spruce up however the one shining light is Martha behind reception she is professional, polite and will do anything within her powers to ensure she can assist in your stay. Thanks for you assistance over my long stay Martha, Tom

   I’ve been working there for over a year. The only positive thing is the position and low price. The hotel is extremely old with old forniture. Many rooms don’t have windows at all, smokers room stink a lot of cigarette or weed, cleaning is really poor and I saw staff using dirty clothes to clean even cups. Smell is really bad in general. Food is poor and low quality, most of the stuff is frozen or in can. There were mouse in some floors and even inside the kitchen. Unfortunately owner doesn’t want to invest money in anything so quality is extremely poor. I STRONGLY suggest you DO NOT go in this hotel!
