Unfortunately the room in the hotel is very old. They need to renovate their rooms. The price is quite expensive for the types of rooms. The receptionist not very friendly. He was not welcoming. A good location because it is near the king cross station.
The room didn’t have an onsuite bathroom, the bed sheets were stained! And there was no one on the reception to ask for any other clean sheets. Never again. And it was £130 per night!!!
Clean sheets, comfy beds. The localisation is great. The owners are responsive and helpful. We wanted to leave our luggage early (before our Check in time) and they checked if our room was already cleaned and let us in early. We were also allowed to use the fridge and they provided us with a charger. The downsides: -the windows didn't open -mold in the bathroom. If you're looking for a place to sleep, fresh yourself up and leave your luggage, Apollo hotel will be a good fit.
Great hotel with basic functions. Room was clean, was supplied with complimentary tea and coffee, and basic shower amentities. Was very warm during the heat wave and was supplied with a fan, but was still very warm due to no air con so bare this in mind. The shower was fine but had no cold water option, only hot. Service was great - rang the door bell and was checked in in minutes. Very friendly service. Was very near to King’s Cross too which was great for the tube - two minutes down the road. Great for a budget hotel.
Check in was smooth and easy. The room is clean, but quite noisy and hot. The bed was acceptable, but I wouldn't want to sleep more than a few nights on it. Location is about 3 minute walk from Kings Cross train station.
Absolutely aweful place, nothing like the photos, we were there 5 minutes before we starting looking on the internet for other places to stay. Rooms freezing cold, no sound insulation at all so you could hear everything from rooms above and in the corridor. Rooms and shower very unclean with dirty sanitary ware in open bins. Service was ok but nothing special, had to call the person on arrival who attended quickly and gave us keys to the property. Location is very convenient but even given that I would definitely not be staying again and would prefer to spend £100+ extra to stay anywhere but there
Very poor quality - shown on Google as 5 star but wouldn't even say it is 1 star. Rooms are dirty, dark and miserable. Photos are not representative of the rooms and it no longer goes by the brand 'Oyo'. Bathroom was not ensuite as expected. It was dirty, had not been cleaned (used sanitary products left in open bin) and did not look looked after. Water for shower was hot but needed to be short to use the shower properly Walls are thin and can hear everything, including being woken up at 2am by other guests. Bed was overly soft and had a lumpy mattress. Great location which is the only saving point Was so bad started searching for alternative hotels!
TERRIBLE SERVICE. Booking a hotel room so me and my friend could get some sleep before our 6am eurostar. There were drunk people coming in and out the hotel all night which kept us awake. So many guests complaining to the receptionist about discrepancies in their room which also kept us up. After complaining and asking him to keep the noise down he seemed not to care in the slightest and did nothing to stop this. As well as this the smoke alarm went off 6 times within the night. Every time we had to ring the receptionist to come and turn it off. He told us every time that there was someone in room 7 smoking and this is why it is going off. Why he didn't talk to the person or kick them out I don't know. The last time it went off it was on for over 2 hours. We gave up trying to sleep and left the hotel so early to relax in the train station. I want my money back.
Everything I expected. I knew it would be small, but I'm on holiday so it was really only for sleeping and a base to come back to. I spent 10 days and had not one issue. I was given a top floor room at the back and it was very quiet. There was no table or chair,but if I brought dinner home I just used the ironing board. Easy. McGlynn' s free house is just over and is a good place to meet locals and visitors alike. The majority of underground lines are just up the road, excellent for getting around. I would recommend staying here as long as you aren't going to sit in the room all day. I would stay here again.
