Had a fantastic stay here for my first visit to London. The location is excellent, a short walk from attractions like the British Museum and most of the Underground lines. The room itself looked a little dated, but that's my only complaint. It otherwise perfectly suited the needs of me and my mom. Highly recommend staying here!

I am giving this hotel a 4* review on account of the fantastic discount I got when booking. If I had paid full price it would have been 3* at best Location is superb. Walkable from a number of major rail hubs and tube stations and handy for lots of tourist attractions. The staff are all cheerful and helpful, the room was spotlessly clean however my beef is that the hotel is a bit sad and tired and really needs a refurb. It could also do with a/c with a controller in the room like most of its competitors. Breakfast is excellent however I have a feeling that they use the same wholesale supplier as a number of other central London hotels as it felt very similar to other places Ive stayed. But theres nothing wrong with that. Finally November seems an expensive time to stay in London. The Tavistock was the cheapest option I found in a good central location for my stay earlier this week.

Really nice hotel in a great location for the tubes and sightseeing. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was extra for us but well worth it as there was a big selection. The restaurant menus looked good although we never had chance to try them. Reasonable selection and price in the bar and very comfy lounge area. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed for a weekend at the Tavistock hotel and we didn't regret it. The hotel is perfectly located in the Bloomsbury neighborhood and just a stone's throw away from Euston, St Pancras and King's Cross stations. It is especially convenient if, like us, you come by train. The view of Tavistock Square is very nice. The room is comfortable, clean and spacious. Having two restaurants in the hotel itself is very enjoyable and the food is very good. The Art Déco style throughout the hotel and the Woolf and Whistle restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food, including a traditional English breakfast. The service in the breakfast room is friendly as the employees take the time to chat with you and they are very polite. The possibility to leave our luggage for free at the reception on our last day was extremely convenient. Unfortunately, the only downside is that I found a cockroach in my bed during my stay. I told it to the lady at the reception at checkout who apologized and said I should have called them. I would go back anyway without hesitation.

We visited London and stayed at this hotel for a night. Check in and out went smoothly. The concierge was always friendly and without paying a penny we could borrow an adapter for our charger. (Travelled from Germany) One thing to improve: Please upgrade our beds. I think they could be a bit more comfy but for just one night it was okay. Thank you once again for having us as guests - for such a decent price in a good location! ☺️

This hotel could be a 5/5 if it wasn’t for 1 extremely irritating thing which ruins the experience 1. The showers only have a tiny screen. Whenever i shower water gets all over the bathroom and forms a massive puddle on the floor and soaks the walls. It is totally ridiculous. It is a design trying to be chic, but it’s just dumb. There are also other issues such as no air conditioning and only 2 outlets in a clumsy location, but that is common for budget UK hotels.

Some of the rooms are a little tired but spotlessly clean and bathroom had been refurbished. Also provided organic, cruelty free shower gel and shampoo which smelt divine. Staff could not be more friendly/helpful and although we didn't eat there the Indian restaurant within the hotel looked and smelt amazing. Very good value for money and will definitely stay here again.

Great location, small bathrooms, poor quality hairdryers so had to buy one locally but very clean with good beds and linens. The rooms can be quite stuffy in warm or mild weather..would not stay in warmer months.

I enjoyed my stay at the Tavistock. No, the rooms are not air conditioned. Be warned if traveling during warmer months but the temps during my visit were just right and I enjoyed my open windows overlooking Tavistock Gardens. The room was clean and adequate, tho' small but given the price point for London, I was content. The hotel was especially well located for my travel plans and having a bar downstairs was a plus. The staff was attentive and helpful.
