   We had the Christmas menu 11th December; table 15. The food was good and came to our table hot. The night was busy and the staff remained friendly and helpful. Thank you Jas our main waitress, and Ian and Francis our chefs. We have been before and will visit again. Merry Christmas everyone, and thank you from the four of us X.

   Great service. Fast prompt delivery of hot food. Choices on the menu is good. Daily offers. Good drink selection. Clean and tidy. The staff helped to make it a very good experience. Will be going back.

   A little more disappointing this time than some of our other visits. Firstly we requested a specific table for accessibility reasons and was told it was available then on the day it wasn't and we were sat somewhere else not as easily accessible. Some of the meals were of a poorer quality then expected particularly sausage and mash, if I wanted a ready meal, I'd go to the Asda down the road. There were also some things from the menu unavailable.

   9 of us met for lunch old work colleagues all ladies of a certain age. The staff were excellent. Friendly funny and very professional. All the meals came out together were hot and tasty. Puddings were good too. Would recommend Bold forester. Nate,Ian and Joe were brilliant as were all other staff.

   For the second time in a row, our table not available despite booking with the app. When we were eventually seated, decided on 3 meals. However, parts of 2 of the meals not available but staff unwilling to offer an alternative. Therefore expected to pay full price for the privilege of not getting the full meal. Thanks a lot, not! I'll try elsewhere from now on.

   Had a great night last night here, didn’t know they had a bit of music on at night and a karaoke. The atmosphere was great made even better by the staff, big mention to Deb!! She kept that party atmosphere going for us and could see she is a hit with all customers. Will be going in again on a Friday!

   We were nearby and friend suggested to pop in for a dinner with kids. What a pleasant surprise!!! Place was very busy, but we found a table, friendly staff, plenty of food options even for my kids-picky eaters. Portion size is good and desert was spot on. Will definitely come back again.

   One of the best pub food places in Mansfield. Very quick service, staff very welcoming and check after us later on. Cheap meals, but the highest quality. Loved the fish, I can recommend.
