This pub used to be an incredible place to eat, especially if you fancied a perfect Sunday roast. Unfortunately, the pub no longer serves food and the current lack of atmosphere reflects this. I sincerely hope this cessation of food service is only temporary.

This pub has gone down hill a lot in recent months which is such a shame as it's a really lovely pub. We used to come here quite often for food, however, in recent months they have stopped serving food and now serve drinks only, which is a shame since the food was incredible. The general vibe has gone down significantly, a massive shame as it's a lovely pub with nice staff, but it's dead even on a Friday and Saturday evening. I would say they need to start serving top-quality food again which will bring people back, otherwise it will be sad to see this place go!

Sunday dinner states crackling with the pork which my grandson was so looking forward to but all we got was very soft fat/rind to his disgust we were also given just enough veg for two cauliflower cheese 3 florets there was four adults we thought the server had gone to get the second couples veg so we waited only to see him back behind the bar. It’s a shame because the Yorkshire puddings were lovely

Absolutely lovely pub, we stayed for dinner and I’m glad we did it was delicious, also had the home made sticky toffee pudding which is a must it was amazing. And thanks to the Lady who served us she was really friendly and polite. We will be back.

Cosy little pub that servers some amazing food, polite customers and welcoming and helpful staff. Always come here when in Hoylandswaine!

Waited over 35 minutes for a mediocre sandwich... it wasn’t very busy. The bread was somewhat “day old” it texture. Slow service, food not great and terribly long wait for an empty restaurant. Side salad was a token effort. Chips tasted like old fat.
