   No ac, rude staff, beds are 70s era springs poking through your backs, no queen beds for a couple, everything is sticky, communal bathrooms, broken everything, windows are locked so you can't even open them, no fridge or kitchenett in the rooms, in general the building hasn't seen an upgrade since the 60s probably do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. Wouldn't pay a dollar to stay another night.

   A really practical budget accommodation in a perfect location. Loved the inner courtyard with chairs, sun umbrellas and huge trees - a great spot to chill for a bit. The breakfast was surprisingly good - lots of variety, many options for vegans, with a large buffet of hot food. The room was spacious, lots of storage space. It had sink, the wc and showers were shared - they were never busy, they were close to the room and clean. But very small. The bed and bedding were better than expected. Easy checkin. The building complex is a bit complicated to navigate, but nothing to worry about. Not suitable for people with mobility issues.

   Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Four stars for location — and that’s it. I’ve stayed in LSE vacation halls several times in the past three years, but Passfield Hall will be one to avoid. My experience was a 100% disaster, and it is the worst experience I have ever had in my entire time in the UK. Rosebery and High Holborn are much better. The room and the hallway were unbearably hot. I was sweating without moving. When I politely asked the receptionist if another north-facing room was available, the middle-aged male staff（with heavy accent)’s answers were a masterclass in contradiction: first, ‘no other rooms’ (without checking the system), then, ‘other single rooms exist but cost more’(stupid lie). When I asked him to check, he said he didn’t have access, then concluded that ‘all rooms are the same temperature’ anyway. Apparently, there were spare rooms, but for some reason he was unwilling to help. He was also unnecessarily rude, accusing me of not tapping my room card to enter when the gate was open! I don’t know how this guy got this job but he is troubled and not suitable for any hospitality positions. The room is poorly designed. A huge floor-to-ceiling window meant I had to keep it open for ventilation, but that came with constant street noise — and I also had to keep the curtains drawn because passers-by could see straight in. So opening the window was pointless. Thanks to this setup, I barely slept an hour and it just ruined my trip to London. Avoid if you don’t want to deal with the unbearable heat and the troubled staff.

   Excellent if you are on a low budget. Clean rooms, washroom area, kitchen. Breakfast included. Very central for all London attractions. No lift to 3rd floor so fine if travelling light, ask for room on floors 2 or lower if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage. Dining room in basement with lots to choose from inc. dairy free

   This is by far the worst hotel in london! It smells the staff are either nice or disaffected teens or people phoning in a job to make ends meet ... there is no joy in thier eyes. The beds are aweful you can feel the springs. In my room ther was not even heat ... just 2 space heaters! Seriously it is not worth it.

   The night stay was great. The room was clean, had sink and towels for your use. Toilets were outside the room. (Which was okay) Breakfast was included, Which was good. Free WiFi, best thing I liked was they had a place to let us store our luggage for free. Place was Close to my venue. Good value for money. Staff were very helpful amd friendly.

   Had a security lock on our windows (top floor). We all independently (3 of us) asked it to be unlocked because of the heatwave. Anyway my roomate got heat stroke and was throwing up at 2am. Pretty pathetic response when we told reception. They're not fussed about your welfare. There's heaps of lse accommodation, find somewhere else.

   I stayed at LSE just for one night on a Sunday as I wanted to be in central London. I don't know if this residence is as good on a Friday or on a Saturday. The location is perfect, very close to St Pancras International (15 min walk). I was allowed to leave my luggage before check in as I arrived in London in the morning. I was a solo traveler, my room was very small, a single bed an desk and a bathroom sink. Toilets and showers are outside the room. the building is noisy, we can hear everything from outside and the other rooms, so don't forget your ear plug. The breakfast is good, there is a bit of everything: English breakfast, Continental Breakfast, cereals...
