    An excellent meal at Skosh. A small plates/sharing concept, with a focus on contemporary British cooking with an international influence. Each dish had a lot going on, however everything worked well and, above all, was extremely tasty. There’s so much innovation. Service was friendly too. Really enjoyed sitting at the counter watching the team of chefs do their stuff. I can see why this place gets excellent reviews. It’s a real stand-out which would easily hold its own with similar restaurants in London. A ‘must-visit’ if you’re in or near York. Impressive.

    Lovely little dishes that are extremely friendly for single-travelers. I love the sirloin thin cut and the Singaporean dumplings. The sauces are very balanced and rich.

    A brilliant night at a venue full of atmosphere. The food was brilliant and the wines on the menu matched the international twist of flavours. The staff were very engaging throughout the night and they were very knowledgeable on the menu. Overall, a brilliant night and we would go again if we lived closer!

    An unforgettable dining experience. We ate at 7 on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was abuzz with the gentle clatter and clammer of contented diners. And crikey Moses did they have reason to be. The food was exemplary. We ate mackerel, chicken, seabass and tempura broccoli. The latter was so good my girlfriend ordered a second portion it really was as good a vegetable dish as I’ve ever eaten. Even the bread and butter was drool worthy! Impeccable wine pairings. No room for dessert. Our waiter was knowledgable and attentive without being overtly intrusive. A perfect combination. This place is most certainly worth the hype. We’ll be back.

    The best food we have ever had ! The restaurant was full when we entered, it had a really nice noise and vibe. Diners looked really interested in their dishes. We sat at the bar and had a Kentucky Bourbon and a cocktail whilst we waited for our table. We were seated with a view of the kitchen, which was really fun and interesting, watching all the chefs work and interact from their stations. The food was served in perfect timings, allowing us enough time in-between each dish. The mix flavours in each of the dishes was incredible. Sweet and sour. Spiced and pickled. Crunchy and soft textures. I genuinely believe this the best food I have ever eaten. Nothing was overbearing or too much. It simply worked - every dish. 2 entrees each, 5 dishes shared- was perfect. Cocktails for my wife, and a half bottle of Italian red for me. The price, was a lot better than we expected, when the bill came. We were pleasantly surprised. We will be back, happy to drive from Manchester just to come to Skosh !

    A special evening enjoying the great work of Chief Neil and his team spoiling us with great food. I would just say that they could do with one more wait staff but that takes nothing away from the food quality and fantastic value for money. Don’t hesitate to go here and enjoy this delectable treat!

    Skosh serves up modern fusion cuisine. The food is well-thought out and tastes amazing with great flavour combination. I am very happy with the standard of food during my visit and the price is very reasonable for the quality you get - some dishes are in fact Michelin-star standard.     I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. I cant fault anything. The food was amazing and all of it equally as good, impossible to pick a favourite dish. The service was great as well. If you are a table of two I recommend sitting up the kitchen as I enjoyed watching what the chefs were doing and seeing all the other dishes. Can't wait to go back very soon

    What a fabulous restaurant! Friendly and great tasting food that looks as good as it taste. Every dish we have ordered were so amazing! When I have a chance to come back to York again, this place would definitely be on my list! Love it!! Do book well in advance to avoid any disappointment.
