Amazing food and amazing staff. We were staying in our campervan but why cook when they have such delicious food! We had chicken parmo and a pizza. My son said it was the best pizza he's ever had. The staff were great with my son letting him order the food at the bar and making sure we had everything we needed. The pub was cosy and warm on a wet autumn day, I'd love to come back at Christmas to see it. We'll definitely be back.

This is one of the best pubs/inns I’ve ever been to. I was staying at the adjoining campsite whilst riding for a national motorcycle charity and being bikers themselves, Rosie, John and family made our group feel extremely welcome which enabled us to celebrate the completion of our National relay ride. Our celebrations were accommodated to the highest level of hosting by Rosie and her team which just encourages us to keep returning year after year

A fabulous Sunday lunch. We opted for the Sharing Platter - a very novel concept to avoid an overloaded and over faced plate of food. Great value for money and excellent quality. Fresh wholesome food. We can highly recommend eating here and welcomed the friendly cosy atmosphere. Reservation is advisable.

Stopped over in our campervan. The pub is very clean and the hosts are extremely welcoming. The pitch for our van was spacious and the shower and toilet block was great. We ate in the pub on the evening and the food was superb. All freshly cooked with local ingredients and lovely flavours. Way beyond your average pub grub and amazing value. This place is a hidden gem and we'll definitely be back. 10/10

We had last minute change to our Venue and had to travel further. We ended up at the old George inn as the accommodation wasn't ready and the staff were soooo lovely and welcoming and we promised to come back for some food. And it was FANTASTIC and very filling. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stop again!!! Thank you!!! From the 14 Hens!!!

21.12.2022 We'd been meaning to pop into The Old George since it had been refurbished but hadn't had the opportunity until today. With the day off work, we popped in for lunch after clay pigeon at Park Lodge. We had a lovely time which reaffirmed we should have visited sooner. Everything about the afternoon was wonderful. The pub itself has been lovingly renovated , and decorated to an exceptional standard. The restaurant area was clean and the roaring open double-sided fire place was a nice and cosy touch. The food did not fail to impress. My steak and onion marmalade sandwich was to die for, and my wife reported that her sausage (pigs in blankets) and mash was one of the best pub meals she's ever had. Top marks to the Sous Chef! Having seen the coffee shop attached to the pub, this looks like the perfect venue for a morning drink and a slice of something nice, so we'll definitely be back soon for that.

Wonderful pub, modern interior with original artwork on the walls, rustic touches with the beams and roaring fire, well stocked bar and really gorgeous bistro-pub menu. We love the cafe most of all though, warm and inviting with a really tasty breakfast and brunch menu, milkshakes and proper decent coffee. Always a friendly welcome.
