I love this old cinema! Right in the centre of the town of Berkhamsted. An old style cinema with tables & chairs at the front by the screen and a huge cinema seating style behind. The old memorabilia as you enter takes you back to the nostalgia of film. Cannot wait to go again.
The seat ( I am on upstairs) was comfortable, the film selection is excellent
Trip back in time but with modern sound and projection systems. There are plenty of seating options, some with tables. Great prices and customers even took their rubbish with them. The only improvement I could add would be uniforms for the ushers and gold paint for radiators. A truly fabulous experience.
First visit ever. Loved it. Looks a bit shabby from the outside and in the foyer, but the theatre is well maintained inside. Loved it! Super comfortable seats and a lovely 2 vars with snacks. We sat on the back row which is quite high, and will come back to try a table at the bottom. Clean toilets and helpful staff to usher you to your seats.
The Rex is one of the best cinema experiences I have ever had. We keep going back as the atmosphere is superb and the film choices are really interesting. The bar is available even through the film and you can buy cheese and snacks which adds to a lovely visit.
Always five star. It almost doesn't matter about the film. The environment is so lovely. The ambience wonderful. Our favourite date night (or afternoon) is the Rex, a good film, glass of wine, comfortable table and chairs and a good coffee. Plus the staff are just so nice. Thank you
Worth a visit for the interior by itself. The tables and group seating at the bottom is nice for the social experience, with it's own bar,
