“Drama in the Woods is a fantastic way for children to spend a week outdoors blowing away the cobwebs, making friends and being creative. The instructors are the perfect mix of professional, caring and fun. My kids love it.”
“I had the pleasure of hosting my daughter's 6th birthday party at this pub/cinema, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The lady behind the bar went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly. Her attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and willingness to accommodate our requests made the day truly special. The venue itself was perfect for the occasion, providing a comfortable and enjoyable space for both the kids and adults. The combination of the pub and cinema allowed us to have a great time with food, drinks, and entertainment all in one place. I would highly recommend this place for any event, and I'm truly grateful to the staff for making my daughter's birthday a memorable one.”
“Trip back in time but with modern sound and projection systems. There are plenty of seating options, some with tables. Great prices and customers even took their rubbish with them. The only improvement I could add would be uniforms for the ushers and gold paint for radiators. A truly fabulous experience.”
“we soaked up the charm of the Odyssey Cinema – a true Art Deco treasure in the heart of the city. Stepping into this beautifully restored venue felt like stepping back in time, with its vintage décor and cosy atmosphere adding to the magic of the experience. We had the pleasure of watching Home Alone, the ultimate festive film, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The comfortable seating and intimate setting created a warm and inviting vibe, ideal for a relaxed evening out. What sets the Odyssey apart is its attention to detail – from the friendly, welcoming staff to the carefully curated film selection that offers something for everyone. It’s a cinema experience like no other, combining nostalgia and modern comfort in the best way possible. Whether you’re a film buff or simply looking for a unique night out, the Odyssey Cinema is a must-visit. It’s a place where great films, rich history, and a touch of glamour come together to create unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return!”
“ActOne Cinema is a small, independent cinema located in Acton, London. It opened in 2021 and has quickly become a popular destination for local film lovers. The cinema has a capacity of just 60 seats, which creates a intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The screen is large and the sound system is excellent, so you can enjoy your movies in the best possible way. In addition to the cinema, ActOne also has a café run by the local Bears Ice Cream Company. The café serves food and drinks, and it's a place to relax before or after your movie. ActOne Cinema is a great addition to the Acton community. It's a place where you can enjoy great movies in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The cinema is also committed to supporting local businesses, so you can be sure that your money is going to a good cause.”
“Recently had a screening at Close-up. Jake and the team took great care of us and we had a wonderful day there. Booking process and communication was clear and quick. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a great cinema.”
“Amazing gem, really can't find enough fantastic words to say about the place, the people and my experience! The entrance is actually next to the building and up some stairs, the grocery store under was very helpful in directing me. Super welcoming bar/restaurant atmosphere, with smiling, friendly staff to take care of you. Plenty of food and drink options, including half and half salty/sweet popcorn. The music while waiting was a fabulous selection as well. The theater itself is small and comfortable, great sound and picture quality. But even better than all that was their advertising of local businesses and the fact that they provide a day for people with dementia to enjoy as well. Truly touched my heart.”
“Fabulous performance of "Little Women", was really impressed with the serious talent and musicality on display. The quality was West End, we were so wowed. The staff were great, lovely venue, great band, and superb performances. What a gem of a place, cannot wait to return for future productions!”
“Brilliant place. Staff super helpful. Highly recommended for rehearsals.”
“Last Friday went to see the new Deadpool film at Pinewood Cinema. Cinema was inside Pinewood studios so was pretty cool to walk through it. Cinema sat about 100 and was fantastic. Big and comfortable seats with lots of legroom. Cinema was clean. Was a shop selling food & drink.”
“Beautiful cinema, very classic and comfortable seating options… and the bar is in the room!”
“Wow! Impressive The best made musical which I have seen. Specially that i visited 3 musical for last 7 months in Madrid, Spain. It’s our first show in London so we bought the cheapest tickets and we’re impressed - the level of preparation is incredible - costumes, stage props, lighting, music, lights, actors' voices and dancing are simply amazing! 2,5 hours just flew! Someone says that you feel that 20£ is not enough for this show and I totally agree. One more surprise - view is fine from every part of the theater- we were sitting in balcony and you may see everything perfectly. Maybe small tip is to take the middle part sits. The theater themselves is quite beautiful, so it’s perfectly suits The great Gatsby show. Highly highly recommended”
“A wonderfully organised party for my 5 year old. The entertainer kept all 14 children under control, mesmerised and fully entertained throughout the 2 hour party. Brilliant! easiest and calmest party ever. Thank you JoJo Fun.”
“If you went to Saturday morning pictures and drunk Kia Orange you need to visit this wonderful museum, as it will take you straight back there. An eclectic collection of old cinema memorabilia, a lot of it from historical cinemas no longer in existence. And a wonderful collection of old film, from news reels, cartoons, film trailers and who can forget the Pearl and Dean adverts.”
“I love this cinema. The staff are so friendly and accommodating! Nothing is too much trouble for them. They even offered store my mother's electric wheelchair in the staff room and I have made friends who have been able to safely store valuables too. The staff make it a very warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels very safe. There are rules but they are for the safety and enjoyment of others. I had a great experience at the wicked sing a long as they turned it into an interactive experience too. I love going to the occasional marathon and think it's great that they send someone out for security during the breaks or even if my friend wants a cigarette break during the film and lock the doors during the films. It attracts a lot of friendly people and I have made good friends there that I now go with to other films and marathon. Even strangers offer to help my mother up and down the stairs and try and buy her drinks and snacks from the bar so she is comfortable. I fully recommend.”
“How did I not know about this cinema before? An obscure Brazilian film that I would never have been able to see elsewhere, nice glass of wine, comfortable seats and tickets only £10. Brilliant!”
“Superb little cinema . Lovely cafe, staff & seating areas. Excellent auditorium I visited the Phoneix Cinema for the first time October 2019 for an evening preview screening. It's a charming cinema with really well thought out layout and facilities and friendly, helpful and courteous staff . I noticed that they have a permanent ramp which is ideal for accessibility into the venue. The foyer is bright and welcoming, with lots of snack and drinks I even found Judes ice creams with the mango sorbet (£3.00) working well for me. There are lost of additional seating areas benches and chairs, so if like me, you're early, you'd have plenty of places to relax in. Upstairs the cafe is larger than it seems - I had a long seated alcove area all to myself around the corner. The food and drinks are really extensive even more so than downstairs, so a Belvoir Lemonade £3.00) was in order for me, though I would return when it's less busy during the day to enjoy the offerings. The auditorium is very plush and well cared for with great sound and comfy seats The ladies toilets on the ground floor were small but clean with plenty of mirrors, nice hand wash and cream though the hand dryer was rather lame as myself and other patrons laughed at. From East Finchley station (Northern Line) take the exit on the left by the ticket machines and walk ahead, there may be a mobile coffee van open, walk pass this to the corner and look left and you'll see the red neon sign for the Phoenix on the opposite side of the street, which is less than and 3 minute walk away.”
“This is by far our favourite cinema, and we now never go anywhere else. From the amazing staff to delicious pizza, comfortable chairs and excellent Tuesday night quiz, I would highly recommend a visit here. The staff go above and beyond, and are always so kind and generous, not only with their time but also gifting my niece some promotional material of her favourite movie character which absolutely made her day. We never have anything but an excellent experience at the Light Addlestone and would recommend it to anyone.”
“Amazing food, great view. Staff were very helpful, my car battery died during the film and they were able to provide a radio and jump started us at the end. John had some funny commentary at the start and got everything organised. 10/10 will be back many times.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Phenomenal Service from Regwan, Joao, and Kate! I have to give a special shout-out to three employees who made my visit to see the Chainsaw Man movie nothing short of exceptional. Regwan, Joao, and Kate were at the front desk, and every single interaction I had with them was outstanding. They provided truly amazing, excellent customer service. Beyond just being incredibly efficient, they all had such a wonderfully positive and welcoming attitude. It is so rare to encounter service this phenomenal. This team is an absolute asset to your theater, and I hope their management knows what gems they have. Thank you, Regwan, Joao, and Kate, for making my visit perfect!”
“Stumbled upon London’s Roman Amphitheatre beneath the Guildhall Art Gallery, and it’s amazing from the entrance! This 2nd-century ruin, discovered in 1988, is a hidden gem showcasing the City’s ancient roots”
“Classic, intimate cinema screens at the Barbican which create a cosy viewing experience. Came here to see The Bikeriders and enjoyed the screening very much. Also, the first time I’ve been to the cinema in years without the inconsiderate distractions of constant chatter and glaring device screens, which was very welcome. There is a bar and a restaurant on-site too for food and beverage before or after your film. Good stuff!”
“Hip crowd, great movie selection, cool respite when the weather's hot, great selection of bars, restaurants and outdoor terraces to socialise beforehand, very LGBTQ friendly”
“Very nice, relaxed cinema. The screen in my showing wasn’t as large as in a typical cinema but this was well made up for by comfortable seating and worthwhile staff! Would visit again”
“It's nice that Croydon has this cinema. It's a real asset for a town centre that is being decimated at every turn. It's unique in that it's tucked away, even though it's in the very centre, just by the Town Hall. With just 65 seats, it's very independent-minded, with a screening more or less daily. The staff really want to assist. I shall definitely return.”
“We use this theatre a lot the shos and the film days. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Saturday 8th November we saw All shook up it was so.proffesional by The Green Room Company. We have other performances booked too for next year. Thank you for all.you are doing for everyone. Mrs G Smith”
“All three cinemas within the Campus West entrtainment complex offer high standards of comfort to view the latest feature films. Prices are competitive and discounts are available for Zebra card holders. The recently completed two level car park is spacious and all prices are competitive.”
“I had some spare time before my appointment and walked in this shop by chance. What a fantastic collection of furniture, wall decoration, glass items, kettlery, jewellery and sounded on! It was a true pleasure to look around. It's a huge shop, half an hour was enough just have a quick glance but I definitely coming back.”
“AMAZING staff, so lovely and friendly, we did a fab deal for snacks with a soft drink, popcorn and little sweet/savoury pot for £9! We went to see Sinners on a Monday at 2pm and were the only people in the screening, comfy seats and lovely and clean :) Tickets were £14 each, absolutely worth it and would now always choose over a chain cinema!”
“Great, intimate cinema with a very helpful team! Thank you for letting me hire your space for a private screening!”
