Very interesting to have a Roman amphitheatre in the middle of the city, however there is not much left of it apart from a few metres of crumbled foundations. A visit won't take longer than 10 minutes. It's free to enter and luckily there is a lot of art (paintings) to see in the rest of the site. Small souvenir shop by the entrance.

Great way to spend an hour if you're near the Guildhall. Wasn't crowded at all when l went and the fantastic piece of history that you are witnessing, is clearly presented and easy to get your bearings from.

Stumbled upon London’s Roman Amphitheatre beneath the Guildhall Art Gallery, and it’s amazing from the entrance! This 2nd-century ruin, discovered in 1988, is a hidden gem showcasing the City’s ancient roots

I went for the guided tour experience, and it was well worth it. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great way of making the gruesome history of the amphitheatre both engaging and easy to digest. The stories really brought the ancient stones to life, giving a vivid picture of what once took place here.

Located inside the museum (we spent a lot of time looking for this place thinking it would be advertised outside) on which we believed to be the bottom floor is the Londons Roman Amphitheater. We loved the ambiance of the room, dimly lite and spotlighted. Surprised it wasn’t more popular and crowded due to being such an important historical find!

Beautifully displayed, remember to clock the outside ring they have built into the flagstones to get the size.

Interesting information about Londinium, and how an amphitheatre proves the importance of the location. Although the remains are not much, I recommend it while combining a visit to the art gallery that encloses the amphitheatre. Entrance is via the art gallery, and the amphitheatre is underground, beneath a church.
