I needed an appointment on short notice and Jimmy / James was happy to accommodate. My little Lady pup went in one way and came out totally and beautifully transformed. Great service, friendly staff and decent / fair pricing. Will certainly consider using their services again.
I took my 8 years old dog Finn, a Shih Tzu, to Paws Here yesterday. I’m not sure what superlatives I can use about James except to say he’s a miracle worker!! The last 15 months have been rough for Finn, the groomer who we had always been to started messing us about, I found another groomer who after just two visits I swore I’d never take him back to, they literally traumatised him. They made Finn very reactive when he went to any groomer, he just didn’t want to go!! We went back to our original groomer, big mistake as he started to mess around with us again. I don’t think that turning up for an appointment and sitting there for 15 minutes and him not turning up, with no phone call, no apology is the way to treat your customers, or run a business! I found yet another groomer, who while Finn would let her groom his body, she wasn’t getting near his face. I actually took Finn to the vets to have his face dematted because he almost couldn’t see anything (he wouldn’t let me do his face either, believe me I’d tried). After two missed appointments at the groomers, Finns fault, not the groomers, I was desperate to find a male groomer - Finns original groomer is a male and he reacts better to men - a friend recommended James and Paws Here. The difference in Finn is amazing, he wouldn’t let James do all his face but the fact that he let him do what he did is incredible. It’s been almost 9 months since he’s let anyone touch his face! He’s so happy in himself, he was dancing in the kitchen waiting for his breakfast this morning, he hasn’t done that for a long time. I shed a few tears yesterday when I collected him, I couldn’t believe how much he’d let James do. We’ll be back to see James in 8 weeks time and, hopefully, he’ll let James do more of his face. Thank you James, you have made me, let alone Finn, feel better!!
It was the first time I have taken my dog Marley, to be groomed here. The staff were lovely, really gentle and calm. He went in looking like a scruff bag and came out looking so smart and handsome. They did a fabulous job on him.
James is by far the best trainer and groomer we have come across. He’s has helped us so much with our Cockapoo and his training style is everything I agree with. Pre James , we worked with a trainer who used a more corrective approach such as tapping on the nose and showing dominance through shouting for unwanted behaviour. This backfired and our loving pooch became more and more reactive. We reached out to James who uses a positive reinforcement approach who has spent so much time helping us reverse this aggression and given us our gorgeous dog back! He loves going into the groomers too and comes out smelling wonderful. 10/10 recommend.

Unfortunately a grooming email was not replying to (a few months ago). Then my dog was refused training indoors, when outdoors would be too much for him (previously attended the class).
Our first visit here and i was very impressed. James and his team were brilliant, dogs looked and smelt lovely and James gave me lots of advice on looking after my dogs coats. We Will be returning
I can't recommend James enough. My pups first groom was so amazing and calm, he took care of him as if he was his own and he came out looking and smelling AMAZING! Booked in regularly and can't wait till his next appointment! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have used paws here for 16 years. My little Yorkie has always gone to James it is a very good groomers. And I recommend it every time. They do a good job my Molly always looks lovely.
