Compassionate and caring. Some kindly person found our young cat after he’d been the victim of a callous hit and run. Even though he had already passed away, they took him to Your Vets, who contacted us via his microchip details. When we went to pick him up we were treated so kindly and the staff spent time with us helping to give us as much information as possible. We were not rushed out and they went to the trouble of taking his paw prints to give us to remember him by. So very grateful to these kind people at a very distressing time for us - thank you.

First visit wasnt great, showed no love to my boy when he was clearly in pain. he is never scared of vet visits but he is so anxious in this place surely that says enough about what a non loving place this is. paid for a pet care plan didnt receive any tablets after being billed almost 200quid went back a few weeks later and when asked why i didnt get his flea treatment when i started the plan they said its because i didnt ask but i paid for the care plan upon joining the vet at our first visit what is the need to ask shouldnt protocool be to tell me as its our first time here? Nor did i get a months supply upfront And noone mentioned this on the day of starting the plan or our first visit also didnt see my 10% off my bill once i paid. Upon revisiting to collect flea/worm meds they then proceeded to try and charge me a further 60 quid the Reception staff are rude, blunt and out right disrespectful and zero manners between the lot of them they are a rip of vets with no love for animals an a lack of customer service or care if you love your pet and want to avoid being scammed ...avoid this vet at all costs!

I used YourVets Smethwick in an emergency as the out of hours practice for my regular vets. My moody Jack Russell had a stick/tree root stuck in the roof of her mouth, wedged between 2 molars. It happened Saturday teatime and I’d tried to get it out myself or see if she could get it herself with her front feet but we had no luck. I rang yoyrvets first thing Sunday morning and I was booked in for 9am giving over an hour to try and catch my now very upset dog and contain her. She’s a difficult doggies into survival mode when in pain. I managed to get her in a cage and rushed to vets who were helpful and understanding of her needs. She was unhandleable by now and had to be sedated through the bars of the cage few times before she could even be handled. I was talked through everything and my preferences for her were listened to. The root was eventually removed and Tallulah was very relieved but also high on many drugs used to help her. Excellent service for a very difficult dog who in her 10 years had only been to the vets for vaccinations which is also an ordeal. Thank you sooooo much xxxx

We had to make an emergency visit on a Saturday evening when my poodle became unwell. The staff were exceptionally professional, and I was able to speak directly to a real person straight away (unlike several other places where I was stuck in endless phone menus). The vet was incredibly friendly, kind, and compassionate. Their fees were also a pleasant surprise, especially as I had been quoted nearly double elsewhere just for a consultation. Most importantly they were spot on with their diagnosis and my little dog is on the road to recovery.

I took my 1 year old lab for a checkup due to her breathing. She’s an extremely nervous dog and always has been, she’s currently in training. I can’t thank the staff enough for being so patient with us. Our first visit, we couldn’t even get near the vet without my pup being terrified, after speaking further with the staff, we figured out a way to have the consultation. Such amazing and sweet staff and I really appreciate how much they helped us. We’ve been with many vets, yet this is by far the best. Most vets wouldn’t have wanted to see us again. The only way we got a happy tail wag was when my pup noticed the teddies they had on display, I can confirm their teddies are worth buying too! They are super helpful, if you also have a nervous pup, I called up to explain and spoke to them in advance. I definitely recommend! (As you’ll see in the photo, she was extremely happy with her teddy)

Great care, excellent customer service and advice given. The reception team are so polite and friendly. The vets are very professional and can tell they love their job and our little fur babies. I would and do highly recommend this vets. Patch the beagle is well looked after here and like to get to know other dogs also likes to say hello to all they friendly staff. Thank you all for what you have done and are still doing.

I have 3 dogs registered at this vets and won't be taking them back. Granted we were running late for our appointment as our Newborn baby was restless, but I called to let them know to which they said it was fine. Got to the vets to a rude receptionist stating we could no longer be seen even though there was not 1 person in the waiting room or waiting to be seen. My dog is a Boston Terrier so has a short snout & has had an allergic reaxtion to which she was struggling to breat but thats no concern to your vets apparenty. Zero help from the receptionist who didn't even attempt to speak to a vet or Vet nurse to see if they could see us just a straight no a tough attitude!!!!

Surface level nice however I changed address (I told them I was moving and nobody took my new address) and had an outstanding payment which eventually got sent to a debt collection because I was not responding. The collections company emailed me 10 days before the payment deadline demanding £200… This all happened around the death of my 8 month old kitten and the insurance company the vet recommended kept messing me around. I received no compensation from the insurer yet the practice keep insisting this. I think all our wires got crossed. Safe to stay I will not be registering here again as next time they might sue me like Amber Heard did Johnny Depp for defamation. Staff are friendly and helpful but poor organisation and practice management. Do your research folks when you move to an area and you're looking for good veterinary care for your cats and dogs and not a conveyor belt service.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR PET'S LIFE, DON'T USE THIS PRACTICE. It is now exactly a year since we lost our much loved cat to these people, and we still miss him terribly. They may be able to handle small things such as flea treatment etc.; but they are totally useless when presented with an emergency, and will leave your pet for hours on end without the necessary treatment. They even charged us over £1000 for the privilege, which they have totally refused to refund; but this is a small matter when compared to the loss of his life. The complaints procedure was an utter whitewash.

I couldn't get the £5 neutering voucher in time for my 2 male cats to be seen. So this meant that I had to pay money for each of them that I didn't have. I was in an emergency crisis at the time. They were very helpful. They managed to speak to Animal House, explained my situation and Animal House ended up paying for the procedure. I was losing all hope but YourVets restored it for me. Thanks again guys! Would recommend this place to anyone. Clean, neat, tidy, lots of flyers and leaflets available with loads of helpful info. Staff are very friendly and professional and truly do care about the welfare of the animals brought in to them
