   Lovely first Schnauzer cut. Very pleased with everything. Louise very friendly and knowledgable, I felt that my Heidi was in very capable hands. I would certainly recommend Fido and Pooch to anyone looking for a quality groomer.

   My teddy is a cavachon and has been going to Louise ever since I had a bad experience last year with a local groom room. I feel compelled to address a recent poor review for Fido and pooch.. I and many of my fellow cavachon owners take our dogs here and entrust them to the safe care of Louise.. one to one expertise.. I have lost count of the people I have sent here, offering to pay for their groom if they weren’t satisfied I was that confident.. all of these people continue to go and not one ever asked me for the money.. She is kind, patient and caring.. dog owners are obviously encouraged to brush their dogs between grooms, after all us humans wash and dry our hair between salon visits.. dogs are no exception..to suggest that it is louises job to sort out a severe matting problem that is quite simply owner neglect in my opinion is outrageous.. one or two matts are normal and she painstakingly spends time dematting dogs to avoid having to cut or shave short.. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but to anyone looking at these reviews, one poor review amongst all 5 star reviews has to speak volumes.. Try it, if you’re disappointed remember my offer..

   Yesterday was the last time I will take my 13 year Cavvie to Fido and Pooch. I am concerned at how traumatised my Buster was and still is since his visit. He has slept for most of the time since his return and appears to be withdrawn and certainly not himself. When I picked him up I felt I was victimised somewhat, Louise spat at me “he doesn’t like grooming at all” and “he has snapped at me when trying to cut his nails”. Who can honestly say a Cavalier King Charles has ever snapped at them? I have never witnessed such a lovely family dog snap at anyone. She also criticised the fact that his ears were matted! What am I paying for? I rely on a groomers expertise to groom my dog, I do not expect to be criticised for my care of my 84 year old dog. Shouldn’t a groomer be patient enough to gain a dogs confidence. Her attitude quite frankly stank, she almost spat the words at me. Not to mention the bloke cleaning the bath upon my arrival totally ignored me, I felt like I needed to get out ASAP, so bad was their attitude towards me. I have owned dogs all my life and have my Buster checked out by the vet six monthly. Never has any other groomer in all of his 12 years complained about him, on the contrary, they’ve always said what a joy he is to groom. Consequently I will not be returning to Fido and Pooch with my elderly Cavvie, for his own safety.

   Lou showed her love for dogs when i walked in and continued with confidence and knowledge when explained what my dog would have done.. Tia my dog loved her pampering session.. Nothing but the best would certainly recommend fido and pooch to fellow dog owners
