   We enrolled with Sleek in July 2024, it is now November 2024 and to date we have had no visibility of our accounts despite repeated promises and deadlines that have been missed. Our accounts have been neglected since July despite us paying an upfront lump sum for them to be completed. We were assigned Maddi and have raised a complaint with Katie over a week ago and as yet have received no accounts and no update. Hugely regret instructing this company.

   I've never left a review on anything before, but I have to give credit where it's due, especially with this one. Accounts Lab was recommended to me by a friend, and he spoke highly of the team and their work. I was clueless being self employed and so I had my self assessment done pretty last minute, and Eleanor helped me through out days before the deadline- give or take, it would have only taken me 3 days or so for everything to be completed (if it wasn't for my lack of communication). Other than that, Eleanor was super responsive, professional and showed a huge amount of understanding in the business and personal matters. Highly recommend.

They’re young and smart enough to understand and work with all the new tech and apps we need in our business, but experienced and knowledgeable enough to back it up with HMRC knowledge so our filing is always on time. They very much have their finger on the pulse, and as an owner of a startup, they have proved invaluable, particularly with dealing with R&D and SEIS/EIS certification. Have recommended Accounts Lab to a few of my piers, and will continue to do so

   One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Dishonest, inefficient and plain incompetent. I used Accounts Lab to file an SEIS application over 2 years ago. Initially, things went fine but as soon as the invoice had been paid, it was impossible to get in contact with them. I would send multiple emails over months with no reply. I would call them for updates on the application and the owner, Ed, would pretend he wasn't in the office even though I could hear him in the background telling the receptionist he didn't want to take the call. Just so unprofessional. After nearly 2 years and plenty of made up excuses (they claimed HMRC was had a huge backlog lasting over 12 months??) as to why there was no progress on the application, I finally managed to get the paperwork from them and had another accountant file for the certificate. Lo and behold, it was granted within four weeks. It turns out Accounts Lab had filled out the application incorrectly and had not responded to HMRC's response letter asking for correction. Even after this, they managed to stoop lower. I asked for a partial refund as I had paid for the full service up front. Ed agreed to this but then the refund never came through. After multiple reminders, he said that he changed his mind and no longer wanted to refund and referred me to his lawyers. It wasn't even a large amount of money but on principle, I'll be making a claim in Small Claims. I've never left a negative review online before but the behaviour of this company really beggars belief. I would recommend that you stay far away from them and instead find an honest accountant to handle your business.
