   A complete shambles. If something isn't fit for purpose then it needs to be changed or improved. The current booking system (Gladstone) is either defective or it isn't being utilised correctly by staff. Over the Christmas period (it wasn't a bank holiday) I booked a badminton court for one hour, only to arrive at the sports hall to find the entrie school premises locked shut and in darkness. I contacted the customer services email and after perhaps several days I received a reply from Hattie the current manager, she was very apologetic and explained that it was a problem with the Gladstone booking system and that I shouldn't have been allowed to book the court for the day and time specified. Moving on several weeks and I've booked a badminton court again on a Saturday morning only to turn up and find the sports hall fully set up to take exams (tables, chairs, matting). This time I got to speak with Hattie in person and she explained once again that the issue is with the Gladstone booking system and it shouldn't have let me book (again). We don't live in Malpas, we're farmers, it takes the best part of a 40 minute round trip to get to the sports hall and back, not to mention the disappointment and impact that missing out on exercise or sports activities can have on a person's mental health and general wellbeing. Hattie informed me that she doesn't really deal with Gladstone directly so I've now got an email contact for someone at the school who may be able to help resolve this issue. I won't be booking or returning again to use the facilities whilst this Gladstone booking system is in use or at the very least steps have been taken to resolve the clear and reoccurring (probably systematic) issues. What's the point in making confirmed bookings and taking time out of a working day just to repeatedly be told no at the door. Get your act together, either put Gladstone in the bin where they belong or get the issues with their booking system resolved. You're meant to be a business, act like one. Edit: two weeks have now passed and I'm still chasing my refund for the badminton court that I shouldn't have been able to book and that wasn't available to me, can take the money quick enough though can't you. Shameful.
