Fantastic experience at Platinum Jewellers. We bought two wedding rings from Steve. He was so patient in the shop, allowing us to explore and discuss all our options, giving us great advice. It was great to be talking directly to a jeweller who really knows his craft, not a sales front person or shop assistant. Quality of rings, communication, shipping and prices all five stars. We started at one end of the jewellery Quarter, this is one of the first shops we went to and ended up coming back to order our rings from here. Steve was great! His knowledge and advice clearly shows the final product. We gave him an idea of what we were looking for and the final product was even better than we imagined! Really disappointing service. We initially felt at home here and hence why we chose them for our wedding rings. We ordered one ring, with a Matt finish, and another moulded to my engagement ring, studded with diamonds. When we went to pick up our rings, the first ring wasn’t a Matt finish, and the second had no diamonds. On questioning Steve was unapologetic and simply stated “the diamonds was not on the order form” - which was clearly his mistake. We wanted a refund for this ring given his attitude to the whole situation. When it came to getting the refund, he wanted to charge £50 for the wax he made to make the second ring. Which we obviously disputed given the error was clearly his. We got our refund with a lot of animosity, which really ruined our whole experience. Steve was rude, no customer service skills and clearly so disorganised. If he had simply apologised and accepted his error, this wouldn’t have happened.
We can't thank Kate and Steve at Platinum Jewellers enough for our wedding rings! They designed and made our platinum and diamond rings to-order and not only did we get a brilliant price, most importantly our rings were amazing, even beyond our high expectations! They are very talented and we would highly recommend them.
