   RUDE beyond belief practice manager. I made an appointment for new pup to have first vaccination and older dog to register as have just moved to Shirebrook. She called me 2 hours before my appointment to cancel on the basis that old vet hasn't sent the medical records from my older dog. I told her this is because I need to call them to authorise and she said it didn't matter it 'raises alarm bells' so rudely cancelled regardless. Old vet sent records 2 minutes later, no matter the won't see me!! I am beyond upset. They implied I don't pay my vet bills when it was just because I moved and needed to authorise for data protection. I have never been so insulted in. my entire life. How dare this woman speak to me this way! SO SO ANGRY. AVOID

   We recently visited Staveley Vets with our little cat, Millie. We had to make a awful, quick decision to have her put down and despite never having been to this vet before, they accomadated very last minute. The reception staff treated us with the utmost dignity, kindness and respect. They allowed us to sit in a side room whilst we waited for the vet. Sean, the vet, was amazing and handled Millie so gently, talking to her all the time until she was finally at peace. They made an awful situation as calm and as peaceful as it could be and for that we are truly grateful. Highly recommended.

   Our so loved rescue dog unfortunately developed a growth on her chin. The staff at Staveley were great and all was so promptly sorted. The Vet Katie was so professional keeping us so much in the loop as to what was going on. I just can’t thank her enough.

   Went into this vet with my presa canario mastiff breed last week, he is a very friendly 10 month old puppy and just wanted to say hello to everyone. Bearing in mind he went in only for a health check, we were met with a very rude vet who treated him as if he was a dangerous dog! She said most of them get nasty and will need to be put down by the age of 2……..She also stated about the type of training collar he was wearing saying it was abuse! I don’t know if she knows what abuse is! There are dogs being neglected and dying and she is so opinionated about my dogs collar? I didn’t ask for her opinion! I asked for a health check! She didn’t once interact with him even though he was kissing her, she treated him like he was a danger. totally different to how they normally treat my two smaller dogs!!! If you have a large breed dog I would stay away from this vets as they will not treat you nicely. I think she must forget that she is a vet, not a trainer or a behaviourist, she obviously doesn’t own big dogs so doesn’t know their requirements or just believes that they are all innately aggressive.

   We have used this veterinary practice since it first opened after changing from another shall I say not so good practice. Staveley vets have always been warm and welcoming and treat all our furbabies with kindness they have been there for us at the saddest of times saying our goodbyes and this was done with dignity and respect. Their pricing is very reasonable they have always accommodated us at short notice if there's been an issue I highly recommend staveley vets.

   Amazing care for our dog Willow. The call after the operation to check on Willow was a real welcome surprise. We needed some out of hours advice after the op and the care and attention we received was simply stunning. We have three dogs and this is the vet they will all go to from now on. Thank you Staveley Vets.

   Staveley vets came highly recommended from a local Facebook group and I can see why. I also Would now 100% recommend this vets, the whole staff are so welcoming and helpful. Thankful to of finally found a vets that cares more for the animals than the income.

   Absolutely lovely staff, I found most vets are more focused on money, where as this small run vets, every member of staff love animals. You can really tell they put the animals first to ensure their looked after and treatment is given asap if needed. Sean was absolutely amazing in keeping us informed of our dog's progress and was very helpful and went above and beyond for both us as pet owners and our dog Cleo. We've put our kittens under their care now and still can't fault them. Would recommend to any and all pet owners.
