   I am new to the pet world and I had alot of questions regarding my new kitten. The reception staff are lovely and approachable. We met the vet and she was so good with her and answered alot of my questions. The veterinary nurse was great too. She gave me alot of reassurance that I was doing things correctly. I know I have definitely made the right choice for my kitten and it is local too. Highly recommend.

   Reception staff were very warm and welcoming and the vet listened carefully and responded with respect and consideration to my concerns and comments. I felt reassured about the prognosis and the treatment. Her tips for how to help my cat feel better and feel more comfortable at home meant I could be proactive in her recovery process. Very professional.

   Been using this vet a long time and have always found the reception staff and the vets very friendly and helpful. My dogs are on a health plan which gives peace of mind that they are well looked after.......however recently it seems they only have 1 vet available and only 2 or 3 days a week which makes it difficult for appointments that are suitable. We waited 30 minutes in reception today for boosters and then left as the dogs were getting stressed and work commitments. I understand there was an emergency and I totally would expect that to be dealt with first ....but only having one vet just doesn't make sense. I wouldn't recommend signing up to this vets at the moment.

   Very poor customer service. Been with this vet for years but today when I've arrived to an appointment (the appointment did not happen as I left due to poor treatment by the receptionist) one of the receptionists (not the regular nice and polite ones) was very rude, defensive and condescending. Asking me to wait in the car as there was another person with 3 puppies who were very loud. She was raising her voice to speak over the barking puppies and when I said that I'll go and reschedule she became rude and condescending.

   I have been with them for 6 years and that whole time I have always been shocked at the attitudes of the receptionists. They are miserable and unwelcoming and don’t ever seem to really care about the animals. They make me feel like I’m a burden, not a valued customer. The vets themselves are always pleasant enough however when one of my cats was hit by a car and injured they rinsed every penny of the insurance and more from my pocket unnecessarily with pointless “check up” appointments and additional x-rays when we had already established that cage rest was the only option under my insurance cover as I only had up to £3000 and they wanted £8000 for the required operation. Once I clocked what they were doing I stopped taking him in. He has fully recovered from his injuries but now has major ptsd from all the lengthy visits to the vets and becomes extremely stressed and aggressive when I take him there when before he was always very laid back and friendly. They care more about how much money they can get from you than the animals themselves. I know they are a business and need to make money but there also needs to be an ethical approach and an element of customer service. Today I have moved all my animals to Rase Vets on Newark road and have had a great experience with their customer service and found them to be extremely kind and welcoming.

   Had to take my elderly cat there to be put to sleep last Wednesday, the staff were absolutely brilliant, the lady vet who sent tinker on the way was so kind, empathic, allowing us to hold while she past. I cannot thank them enough. Xx
