   We finally found Otis's home away from home. The staff are brilliant with him! He's generally very anxious about not being home and sadly having a dog sitter come to our home, or home boarding at their home is not a option with Otis, as he's extremely territorial. He's a rescue from Romania and I know at hydegate he's cared for, the staff appreciate his quirks, I get photo updates and he doesn't seem too stressed when I pick him up, which has been the case at previous kennels :( It's a little out of our way, but it's definitely worth it ❤️

   Hydegate is brilliant, Harvey stayed there in January and will stay there again in July. It was our first time using kennels so I was a bit nervous to leave him but he loved it there! ❤️

   Molly spent 3 days at Hydegate. It was her 1st time ever in kennels but also coincided with losing her life long companion Buster so I was a little apprehensive for her. I needed not have worried, Molly was treated so well & with such understanding of her situation. I cannot praise the staff at Hydegate too highly. They are wonderful.

   Our Staffie is welcomed and well cared for at Hydegate, now had four holidays there. I recommend this resort. He pines when we go out at home without him and no doubt does at Hydegate as he is somewhat hoarse after his last break, but he is healthy, well fed and exercised which is what matters. He is clearly loved by the kennel staff and loves them back.

   I am honestly at a loss to see why some dogs and owners seem to get preferential treatment, based on recent reviews. My dogs, Twix and Clover lost 1kg and half a kilo respectively while here for 5 days (they're small dogs), and we received NO contact from Hydegate while we were away, yet other owners have had plenty of updates and photos. My partner has already reviewed with more detail about their stay, but the 'authenticity' of the low scores is being called into question, and I had to say something. Booking Reference: HPRB009697 if you don't believe me. You can see from these photos that he is visibly smaller in the first two, while the ones of him resting on the sofa and from outside Starbucks are from the days just before we left. He was a healthy sturdy little guy when we left, and when we came back, he was much skinnier and it is not okay.

   Honestly the best place, I have a very anxious dog that was told she had to be in no contact kennels, un till we met Lloyd the work he has done with my dog is amazing for 7 years noone has got close to her and he managed to take her for walks and best of all Cuddles, lots of communication including pictures of the time she was there. We have been coming to Hydegate for 6 years and this is the best time away she has had!! Definitely recommending to everyone I know!! Thank you all again you have been AMAZING!!!

   Our elderly dog Bobby stayed for a week and Lloyd, Hannah and all the staff were brilliant, Bobby needed lots of fuss and attention which we could see when we collected him that he got.. he’s quite fussy who he’s friends with but he went to all the staff for a fuss, I would definitely recommend Hydegate, they have restored our confidence that we can leave him there and take a holiday knowing he’s happy. Thanks a million Lloyd and the gang..

   My rescue dog recently spent just over a week at Hydegate and came back very happy and healthy. I was quite anxious about leaving her as she’s quite needy and a high energy dog but I was so reassured by the wonderful staff and the beautiful setting. It is such a relief to have found somewhere where she is happy and safe! Thank you everyone who helped look after Kiki :)
