Was absolutely disgusted to come here and swim with my four year-old daughter today haven’t been for years and wanted to take my daughter somewhere new. I remember this was a great place when I was younger. On arrival we walked into the changing rooms which were so rundown. It felt like we were in public toilet. The floor was covered with grime and very smelly. Most of the lockers were broken and you had to pay £5 for a lock for the locker. (Unless you had one of your own). Most of the cubicle doors did not lock and the showers were broken apart from two And the water was lukewarm. The swimming pool Was absolutely freezing and after five minutes was shivering and feeling very cold not good when you are trying to have fun with a young child, The hot tub was closed off and wasn’t in use so couldn’t warm up in there! As we were swimming around, noticed none of the jets and bubbles were working. So the swim session became very boring very quickly and very Cold! The pool water Also didn’t smell of any chlorine and you could smell pee in the pool! We went down the flume once and then the next minute it was all shut off no explanation just Cornered off. The pool just felt absolutely deserted and not functioning! Was an absolute devastation to travel so far for an absolutely Disgrace of an experience! Definitely much better pool Around than this place!

Attended here with fire aid in Hythe for a STCW Refresher course in the dive pool. Facilities were excellent, staff friendly and helpful. The cafe is reasonably priced for snacks and coffee etc Only one downside is the hairdryers in the ladies changing facilities are extremely underpowered compared to other large pool/gym facilities. Prepare to be there for some time if you don't want to risk going out in the chilly air with wet hair. The splashpool, jacuzzi and waterslide looked fantastic but we're not open during my visit as it was during the day.

This leisure centre is a joke seriously. They have cancelled two classes without any prior information and refuse to refund and respond. Half of the facilities are always not functioning and staff is lacking information. Big time dissatisfaction overall. They have changed the management but with zero improvement…. but the membership price has gone up. They are lucky, there is no leisure centre nearby. Think twice before joining here.

Visited the lagoon pool here recently and 'it's ok' sums it up. The kids enjoyed it but the entire pool is in desperate need of a revamp or maybe even just a deep clean. Half of the water spouts and facilities weren't working. Staff were friendly and the changing rooms and lockers were really well sized. You do need your own padlock for the lockers which is unusual and due to the design, even when the padlock is on, you can open the locker enough to reach in so consider what you want to leave in them.

I am a wheelchair user and finding places that are wheelchair accessible is hard work. The staff here make me feel very welcome and help me in and out the pool with the pool lift. They are encouraging of my goals and make sure that lane swimming is just that. They have had some issues with the building yes but they also do their best to resolve it. The gym is not directly accessible by lift so when i go to do my gym workout i have to tell them im coming in advance so they open the gym door for me. But that is no hard ship. I have had a lot of good advice what i could do in the gym to help with my upper body strength as i cant do anything with my legs. I have found them very kind and welcoming and i look forward to my visits.

Can't say I'm very impressed. First time visit but despite there being a reception you need to buy tickets online. You need a padlock for the lockers, which I didn't see mentioned on the website. That meant an unexpected fee of £5 to buy one from reception. The entry time was 11 and finish at 12:15 for the leisure pool, but the slides don't open until 12, giving the children just 15 minutes on them. You can't move between the leisure pool and main pool (you could when this place first opened) which is really frustrating. We won't return.

Well equipped gym. I visited the gym whilst staying in Southampton on a pay as you go basis (Thursday afternoon for £7.85). Pricing for pay as you go was not shown online so had to email. Parking is not free on the complex car park. Staff were friendly and had to let me on to the gym floor as a members card is required. Gym had everything I needed to complete my regular strength and conditioning session but would have been good to have some resistance bands on the gym floor. Padlock is required for the lockers. Changing room was serviceable but a bit grim. I’d come and use the gym again

Used to be a great place to go swimming, pay once and stay for as long as you want. You now have to be a member and book online. Each session ends after an hour and you cannot book for more than an hour due to a shortage of staff members.

I'm a member since nearly a year and I'm really disappointed with the lane swimming. There are several different (private) classes everyday. The pool is completely closed until 19:15 and after that you will still get only 3 lanes for a public use. It doesn't matter which day you are coming there it's always too busy. Sometimes there are over 10 people on one lane. People paying for classes/ swimming lessons are being treated better. I was also informed that lane swimming is for adults only - this is not true. I saw several families having "a pool party" in the middle of the lanes and lifeguards are not reacting. They announced a booking system which is not working as no one is really controlling it. Changing rooms and showers are always full of screaming kids having fun and conversations instead of taking a shower so you need to wait really long for your turn. Again - no one is controlling this. Changing rooms/Showers are not fun and play area and should be available for everyone. The worst gym /swimming pool I ever heard of.

Came in for a day pass, forgot my towel so Ryan very kindly lent me one! This meant not only could I use the gym that has everything you need, but I also used the sauna which was really nice and hot and the steam room which had a great amount of steam! Will be coming back when I’m next down. Thanks guys, great customer service and great facilities.
