Very happy and pleased to discover the Watefront facility for swimming, especially the 60+ that I go to. The price charged is low and much appreciated as on OAP with limited income. It’s a positive encouragement to use it a lot more frequently! All the staff are always very friendly and helpful. My only slight gripe is that the water in the leisure pool is sometimes not as warm is others.

5 Out 5 Stars – A Brilliant Spot by the Water. The Waterfront never disappoints. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel at ease the moment you arrive. With its open views across the water and a laid back atmosphere, it’s the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life. The surroundings are picturesque, especially as the light changes in the evening, and the whole area feels very clean, safe, and well looked after. It’s great for any kind of visit — a stroll with friends, a family outing, or a quiet moment on your own. If you choose to stop at the venue, the service is warm and efficient, and there’s a genuine effort to make guests feel welcome. Everything contributes to a relaxed, enjoyable experience. Whether you’re after good food, a scenic walk, or just a peaceful place to sit by the water, The Waterfront is definitely worth a visit.

If I paid a membership here - I'd want my money back. I booked here for a swim with a friend after seeing it has multiple pools, a sauna, Jacuzzi and slides. When we got to the pool 80% of these facilities were closed. This is not disclosed on the website. There were only 3 lanes left open of a tiny pool, the other lanes had a swim school. The other pools, Jacuzzi and slides were all permanently closed. The sauna was tiny and full. Considering how few facilities were left open they still had 6 life guards. When I asked the staff when do the facilities open back up they said they won't open, they are waiting for the new leisure center to open but they don't know when that will be.

I’m unfortunately leaving this gym and leisure centre at the end of this month. It’s too run down and uncared for. A poor culture is rife in the free weight gym, nothing is returned to where it should be, half of the cardio machines are out of service at any given time. I think this gym could be great but there’s just not enough diligence or corrective measures to ensure it’s a well maintained space by both staff and members. Even without student discount rate I am moving to anytime fitness as the state of affairs here are frankly demotivating and inconvenient for a good workout

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Wonderful Experience at the Waterfront The Waterfront is an absolute gem – a perfect blend of stunning views, relaxing atmosphere, and top-notch service. Whether you're visiting for a peaceful walk, a delicious meal, or just to unwind by the water, it delivers on all fronts. The setting is beautiful, offering serene views that are especially breathtaking at sunset. The area is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for couples, families, and solo visitors alike. Staff at the venue (if applicable) are friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe is calm yet lively. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into ensuring visitors have a memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great scenery, good food or drink, and a relaxing atmosphere right by the water.

Half term has been great , the temperature of the pool and the centre has improved massively. The last few days we have had music on poolside that makes the experience that bit more fun ! There was free face painting ! To top it off we’ve seen Buzz , Minnie and Stitch around the centre ! So great seeing all the kids happy and enjoying them selfs it’s fantastic! well done to management and the frontline team :)

Been going at this centre for gym and swimming now as a continuous member for just over 2 years. Staffs have been great so as gym/sport equipment that are available for customers to use. Staff such as Daniel, PT/PI, gave me really good advice on diet and workout. He is really become a friend now as I do see him so often. Needless to say all the staffs are nice, courteous and friendly. I do hope more people can see the positives and join a good center that has been standing for many years providing their utmost services to their local and faraway citizens.

The water in the pool for fitness was super cold! I did not like an idea that team members cleaning floors with a brush and water taken from the pool and adding random amount of a cleaning liquid. As example, in the Glass Mill centre in Lewisham, they use high pressure cleaner and everything is much cleaner.

Disgusting! I am a new full access member there. I joined a month ago. One of the staff at the swimming pool was irresponsible and disrespectful. I was in the sauna, there was no one except me. Staff named Amy came to me and asked about my booking for the sauna and I said no then she left the door open and shut the heater and lights without any warning or explanation. I didn't know that I needed booking for the sauna. After that I left the sauna and went to take shower. Until I come back she threw my bottle of water into the bin. It was on the hump next to the sauna. I called and asked her about my bottle of water. She didn't even look at the back to respond to me. Then she came back and I asked again, she pointed the bin and said that it's inside there and told me to take it from the bin and said that the bin was clean. I asked the reason "why?" She said that she was cleaning. It was around 16:45 on 29th of October, Saturday. Her name was Amy. I have never seen any service like that before. There is no explanation, no warning and on top of that very rude. Why isn't anyone teaching the staff how to treat to customers?! Why isn't nobody controlling her?! Why should I be treated like that as a member who is paying there monthly?! Who gave her the right to treat members like this?! I hope, you will check this review to improve your service in the future in order to not lose your loyal members!
