I cannot recommend York Swim Academy enough. My children have used a number of swim groups to learn and this has by far been the most encouraging, small groups, easily contactable if needed, great online system to see progress and reasonably priced. My son looks forward to his lessons every week, he loves it!
My daughter been using York Swimming Academy for nearly 3 years, she has gone from strength to strength in the water and absolutely LOVES swimming! All her teachers have been so great, spending time with each child and really encouraging. I love to see my daughters water confidence and how much enjoyment she gets from her lessons! My 2nd daughter is now starting her YSA lessons too, and loving them so far! Would highly recommend YSA!
Our little girl was VERY afraid of even putting her face into the water when she began with York Swimming Academy but the staff have nurtured her confidence and now she's happy putting her head right under! The staff are very kind and considerate, alongside being professional in the working manner. Alongside an amazing venue we really can't fault anything and would highly recommend anyone wanting to send their children along.
My son has been having swimming lessons at New Earswick pool with York Swimming Academy since he was about 3 months old (he's now 11 months) and he absolutely loves it. The instructor and all staff are brilliant with him and the lessons are relaxed but fun and engaging. Definitely recommend to anyone.
Our son has been swimming here for 2 years now and the improvements he has made have been amazing. He’s quite a shy, quiet boy and Amy and the team are so patient and helpful with him, he loves swimming with them and we are so pleased with the progress he has made. The organisation of the classes is brilliant, plenty of fun and games, our 4 year old absolutely loves it.
I'm so glad I dared to go to the Adult class 'Be a Better Swimmer'! The access and online instructions are excellent. Our teacher is committed and friendly and the teacher-student ratio is good. A great place to make friends!
I went for my first swimming lesson at New Earswick pool on Sunday and found the whole experience very enjoyable. I was learning to swim before we had the pandemic and haven't been for 18 months. The swimming instructor was considerate of all the different levels in my group and allowed us to go at our own pace. I would recommend these lessons for anyone who wants to start to swim or improve there swimming. Above all it was good fun with a nice bunch of people.
Tonight I had my first swimming lesson in over 40 years. I can’t recommend this club highly enough. They have a brilliant set up given the current situation and restriction. Teachers are highly skilled and extremely attentive. I almost cracked tumble turns in my first 45 minute session!! Impressive after failing miserably attempting to teach myself for past 49 years. Thank you Sian you were amazing offering lots of encouragement and technique pointers for improvement. If anyone is considering returning to swimming and just need that little nudge then do it. Can’t wait until next week Thank you YSA
