Live nearby and enjoy walking here regularly. I would give it 5 stars if there weren't so many dogs either not on a lead or barking continuously, which both spoils the peace of nature and disturbs wildlife as they run around off the paths. Shame!

ThΓ© marsh is an area of scientific interest passed by visitors to Golden Acre Park as they use the underpass between the main car park and the park.

Just been to visit this lovely area of woodland after discovering it on way out of Golden Acre Park. it was an added bonus which everyone needs to know about. Highly recommended for walking the dog too!

Parking can be a challenge due to the popularity of the park, but it's free and there's a steady stream of cars in and out, so with a bit patience you're usually alright. The walk around the lake is well maintained and signposted and the various gardens around the route are beautiful. There's ample seating all the way around the walk, although the walk itself is quite short and flat.

Enjoyable walk especially over the past couple of months watching the swan family grow
